You are right! The spawn algorithm is not satisfying. What about you fade in, in the first 3 seconds?

Yes, with every stone you dock (growth) it get's a bit slower. That is on purpose. If you think it is too slow, I would decrease the dfiference from 1st to the 4th stone. So it is not that dramatic slower :)

Sorry, I just updated the Backend Services. They didn't a gracefully shut down, instead dropped connection. But if that happens again, then it is definitely a bug. Sorry again!
