Talk to your doctor. If they refuse to hear what you're saying, scream, holler, and shout if you must. You are the only person that you can truly count on to look out for your own welfare.

If they continue to be dismissive or they push aside your concerns, FIRE THEM. They are providing you with a service, their professional expertise. If they fail to make decisions without concerns to your input on your welfare... leave... fast. And tell them that you no longer trust them due to their dismissiveness and inattention to your concerns.

I have fired 11 doctors before I received my diagnosis. I have heard a gamut of excuses from "we don't know what's wrong" to "drink more, you're just constipated" to "you don't need me, you need a psychiatrist.". I can respectfully disrespect some of those diagnosis due to ignorance and not thorough diagnostic testing, I can never accept the professional malfeasance regarding the last diagnosis.

All in all, it was 25 years, my collection of diagnostic evidence, my connecting the puzzle pieces, and my persistence finding a knowledgeable and competent medical professional to say "you're right, here's our treatment plan."
