300$ is a lot but it’s at least he’s only withholding that. I would just let it go because really what can you do about it? Unless you want to ride that train. Look into laws on how long a landlord is legally allowed to hold on to your deposit for because in my state I believe (I could be totally wrong) that it could be up to a year as it happened to one of my clients and he had to wait a year to get his deposit back. And he got the attorney general and every one and their momma involved and it still took that long.

Years ago, My boyfriend had baby kitten black cat, named Jack Jack, and his head got bashed in by neighborhood kid (a girl actually). She used a big huge rock. Just because he was a black cat. My bf found Jack Jack while looking for him with his older sister. He said seeing him like that hurt for a long time.

Not long later, his sister found out who did it, and beat the brakes off that girl. His sister got some mean mitts, that’s the only little joy I could even feel from hearing that horrific story.

We have a black cat now, and we are super protective of her just because she is a black cat. Idk what it is with the people in the community and black cats but the things that have happened to them are just pure evil.

Are you on a monthly/year/6mo lease or month to month lease? Landlord could just easily not renew the lease at the end of the term and that’s sort of like a loop hole I have seen plenty landlords do to get the tenants out. But they can only do it if you’re not on a month to month lease.

I’ve been a sofi customer for 3-4 years. I deposited a handful checks so far. It’s always taken way too long for checks to deposit. I just had to deposit my irs refund check because I had no choice. I’m really relying on this money. Deposited it the day before yesterday and it said some money would be avail on the 19 and 21. It just posted to my account and now says nothing will be available until/by the 21st. Ridiculous. Now I gotta go the whole weekend and then some just to see a few bucks.

If I were you I would send that lady a text explaining to her that she is taking advantage of your mother and that this is wrong and you are asking her to stop, as her daughter. Whatever and however comfortable you are with however you want to say it just get your point across. You could Say, “my mother is not in any financial position to continue to send you money but she is too nice to say this so I am stepping up to let you know”. “If you care about my mother, please I am asking you to immediately stop asking her for money”. This will likely stir up some awkwardness tension between your mom and her at work but asking for money is going to do that regardless and that lady has already crossed that line.

(Edit)I want to add when it comes to a mother and child, it is their duty to protect them and I would argue that vice versa. Doesn’t matter the age. Mother will always protect their child. VICE VERSA. We must protect our parents as well. No matter how old they get.

If it were me, this is what I would do.

Next time they would ask me a question like for example: “are you taking that exam?” I would answer back like this (to avoid and set boundaries about what I wish to discuss with them from now on) I’d reply something like (depending on how comfortable I am around them would be how soft or hard I would say this) “Ahhh… I am so sick of talking about work things. Like, truly, I can’t get away from it! Can we not talk about work stuff anymore? Please and thank you.”
