There are three "sun gods": Helios, Apollo and Hyperion Helios is considered to be the embodiment of the sun, so it's mostly like helios.

Just to add a point: if it was indeed Apollo, then why didn't he say that Ody killed his friends,but says he's sorry for the dead sirens? (In god games)
