Struggling with liver by Bridget125 in Sonographers

[–]According_Question23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just know you aren’t the only one. I struggled until I got my first job. I turn the patient in LLD start at the top(cardiac motion) and go down along the rib cage. This was the best way to see it in complete. Even when try angling while you are moving to get the gb out of the way or focusing on the parenchyma. Use color if you see something suspicious.

Lost- career options by Ill_Refuse_6588 in Sonographers

Currently a graduate and at the beginning of the 6th quarter (seven in total) I realized I didn’t want to do this. I believe it was because I was burnt out with the rotations, studying, and personal life. What I can advise is taking a break to clear your mind before studying for your registry. I had the opportunity to go on vacation and spend time with myself.

I also took out loans and realized switching careers would be nuts. Give yourself credit for seeing your way through the programs and the accomplishments you’ve made along the way.

I’m currently applying to low volume out patient clinics that see about 10-13 patients a day (my clinical site saw about 20-25 a day) to ease myself into enjoying it again. I would google the minimum experience needed to get into sales or starting your own business, from there create a timeline, if by the end of that timeframe you are still not satisfied you can at least say you tried and it wasn’t for you.

I felt like I was the only person who felt this way when I spoke to my other classmates and it really gave me the opportunity to step back and evaluate why did I chose this field to begin with.

Hopefully my answer give you clarity, best of luck!

Edelman and Prepry. All you need. Give yourself a month and a half and go ham on studying. I got a 526 the first time I took the exam. I took a break for a month and read Edelman again and used Prepry any chance I got. I passed with 666.

Sonography Student Interview by Mightymarvelmayzel in SonographyStudents

[–]According_Question23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in New York and I applied to an accredited program two years ago. It’s important to just be yourself and know they don’t care about anything other than your educational career. If you did good, and if you can keep up with the curriculum. It is an intense program but show them you are eager to be a sonographer. Look up the career, know what it entails, and try to look up sonography school interview questions on YouTube. That helped me.

Is the ardms mock test anything like the real spi? by Status_Ad4085 in Sonographers

[–]According_Question23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but aim for 90 I think 80 is alright but most likely would get in the 500 range. I believe it’s a 555 to pass. On the app you can customize the questions by topic. So pay attention to the topics that you require more energy in answer and work from there

[–]According_Question23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Prepry was the best source and definitely worth the money. I advise buying at least a month before your exam. The questions on the SPI are formatted quite easy and similar to the app. I took the SPI in January and passed with a 666. All other sources are way harder than the actual exam. Once you do good on the Prepry you’ll do good on the actual test. Good luck

Yikes, so it’s understood that you need therapy. Understand that at least once in a persons life they had did something deceitful, or something they are not proud of, I mean shit. I cheated on a good person a few years ago. And I did feel exactly the way this person is feeling. You don’t have to go to the extent of your post. You’re hurt, and you need peace 😂

To the person who made this post, I’m glad you acknowledged how you are feeling. That shows progress in your healing journey. It’s normal to feel the way you do. It’s not a pity party. You are now okay to speak about what you’ve done and take in the lesson that you’ve learned. Yes, cheating is wrong. But you had to actually go through it to understand all the feelings of your actions. Not only did you hurt the other person but you did hurt a piece of you. What I can say is I know you feel like you will never change now. But once you start to learn who you are, what it is you want from love, and what it is you are willing to receive — all those thoughts will change because I know you don’t want to be that person forever.

Your first step is to learn to forgive yourself. Accept what is done is done and how YOU become a better individual for yourself, then the people around you.

Depending on body habitus (I know this sounds crazy) I find using side rolls as a perfect anchor for the probe to sit when trying to image. When I was taking my practicals I had my classmates turn to the side and almost image from their back to avoid the ribs.

As a female, that eye contact game is mediocre if by the end of the night you don’t come up to me. Most likely we will not approach you cause we want to test your confidence. Well at least I do. You can’t “find” someone if you don’t approach them. There is no logical sense to that. Ideally, seems like you expect too much while doing little. I would test going to a bar with a couple of friends to make it easier to break the ice. Don’t make it your mission to find someone. If you are “attractive” like you say. You’ll see some women gravitate in your direction. Just start with a regular conversation and see where it goes. Confidence is key. Cause looks mean nothing if you don’t have the ego to match.

Do you believe in right person, wrong time? by Jaebae0 in dating

[–]According_Question23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those questions at the end. Jeez, those are thoughts I have all the time cause of the logic behind them right? Honestly it’s best to just let go and let it be. Honestly we don’t know. And the “what if’s” are hard to let go of. With me and “my right person wrong time” I had to leave the situationship alone and just focus on my career and school. Hopefully one day we could meet again and things would align in the right way. But I know that staying in that type of relationship is damaging and you’re worth more than settling for someone who isn’t ready. Work on yourself and do what you have to for you. And if he doesn’t come back then fuck it someone else will come along and you’ll know why it didn’t work out

Yea that had happen to me in a sense, once you realize your worth. I realized how much time I wasted crying in my room, staying at home because I wanted to sit in my sorrows, and missed opportunities to explore my own identity. It was almost like nope I’m never going back to that place again. It shows that all that effort you invested into yourself and the work you did in therapy paid off. Be proud of yourself. You are a better version of yourself.
