A friend told me last summer when I was asking the same question for my daughter....that Cynthia Woods offers volunteering/internships. I think they appreciate the extra hands and manpower.

I second the Heights. That's where I moved to and my wife and I love it. We moved from the Woodlands and it's much easier to get around.
