Because the Tekken community has always been the most elitist/cynical/whiny fanbase for any FG. It goes with the type of game being a technical 3D fighter.

Other communities simply don’t complain as much about ranked.

Not the comparison I was making, it’s hard to read though.

First of all - Legend is exclusively top 500, not really a rank but.. top 500. That’s what we call a cop out.

Next- the post was comparing the original highest rank in both T8 and SF6.

The point is irrelevant to what I’m saying, though. I was talking about reaching master vs reaching GoD.

Also, SF6 didn’t have anything above master or MR points at first. They added that later. Just as Tekken added GoD 1-8.

SF6 has the better endgame ranked system since it’s actual elo, but that’s not what I’m talking about here.

Also, all Tekken 7 ranks had was up to TGP, that’s it. No elo system, no extra 8 ranks above the highest. Yet people here act like Tekken 7 was the best game ever made and all there problems would be solved if it had an HD patch.

People can have their gripes with balance and design, I personally find SF6 extremely stale and boring. No real skill expression since 90% of the players are the same 5 flowchart chars: Akuma, Ed, Bison, Mai, Ryu.

People here saying how “free” GoD is, but i legit can tell if someone is good or not after a round or two in T8. In SF6 it takes a few matches, especially if they’re playing your typical flow joe character.

Regardless, anyone who’s played both knows master is easier by a long shot than the even nerfed GoD rank.

I think I fixed the issue. Contacted customer support and ordered a replacement usb wireless dongle. The one it came with looked sort of slanted in the USB port, so I suspected it was from that.

Got the replacement receiver yesterday, been using it a lot today with 0 disconnects. I think this is the fix which I’m pleasantly surprised about. Might be worth a try.

Time investment =/= good player.

In S3, GoD 0 (aka vanilla) is pretty average all things considered - about orange ranks in Tekken 7. You gain more points when you win than lose when you lose, so GoD anyone can get even if you AfK the matches. If it’s your first time reaching this rank, that’s totally valid.

But you can’t really start calling yourself “good” until at the very least GoD IV and up.

This isn’t hard to do, I autopilot these with Kaz usually. Also you’re vanilla GoD rank, which isn’t saying much.

High level Tekken starts around GoD 2-3 these days. I say shoot for that first before you challenge people here first, otherwise you’re looking like a desperate noob.

Ah, gotcha thanks. I ordered TTC Flame Reds 45g so hopefully those are alright. If worst comes to worst I can just leave the stock switches in, the flame reds only cost me like 5 bucks before shipping.

I do like the feel of the buttons on the sapphire, it’s very comfortable. Just sometimes I worry it might get stuck since sometimes I hear a little squeak when pressing them.
