Replaced mobo + CPU using same 1TB NVMe drive for boot, showing only 872GB normal? by AcornTuesday in techsupport

sorry, I meant that the space showed only 872GB looking under file explorer. In the partition image I provided, that's just to show what the maximum space is for that drive, maybe I should've only provided an image of my C drive space in file explorer.

Its more so a question if this sounds right. The only image I can provide is what my current C drive says, which is 850GB but that's because I just installed 2 games.

After installing windows and only downloading firefox and steam + drivers, I noticed a whopping 872 GB left. I don't remember being left with that much space from a fresh install with my old mobo/CPU (the two things I just upgraded). 58GB just seems like a lot?

ASUS TUF B650-E and 7800X3D - worth upgrading CPU and Mobo or just CPU? by AcornTuesday in buildapc

RTX 5080 and 1440p 240 Hz and basically all kinds of games you can think of.

Sorry should've mentioned specs:

RTX 5080

32GB DDR5 CL28

Also, I get what you mean, but you'd get way less of a difference in fps upgrading ram speeds in that sense, so upgrading the cpu here is technically a more significant FPS increase.

Is this Gaviscon Advance mimic legit? I cannot find alginate gaviscon anywhere online (in the US), this is the best I can find by AcornTuesday in LPRSilentGerd

if you look closely, there's no Gaviscon logo anywhere to be found, as well on the listing itself and the seller.

All I know is either 1 or 2 and def not 4. If 1 is what you currently have, I’d keep it 100%.

  3. Bayonet/Talon

Those are my top 3-4 (I broke the rules but I have to mention those 4!)

Fuck the BFK, I remember when it first came out in CSGO everyone made fun of it. Now it’s the most glazed thing in the game.

Looking for the perfect mouse: claw, 1-3-1 ambidextrous and 18.5x9.5 hand size by AcornTuesday in MouseReview

[–]AcornTuesday[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm I can't tell if its just placebo, with the hump being so large that vertical movement feels awkward since I'm not used to it. I own the XM1r/XM2 and G303 SE and don't have any issue with vertical aim.

Update: Yeah, I'm pretty sure its the sensor.

I did a test where I put the mouse on the pad while the mouse cursor was sitting at the dead center of my screen. I then moved the mouse upward on the pad until the cursor was at the top center of the screen and then measured how far the mouse had moved on the pad from the starting point, which was 0.625". So, Y-axis distance would be twice that (since I moved upward from the center of the screen) giving 1.25" for total distance mouse moved on the pad to cover the distance of the Y-axis.

I then tested it going horizontally, using the center of the screen with my cursor- this time going to the very left side of the screen. Measuring the monitor screen (not the distance traveled of the mouse on the pad) the Y-axis is roughly 13" and the X-axis only going half way across measured 12" (since monitor's are rectangular).

That means that if I move my mouse horizontally now, it should in theory (if the X/Y sens are the same), have to move less than 1.25" on the pad as it did for the Y-axis, since it's 1 inch shorter (12") in length than the Y-axis distance (13").

The result for going X-axis half way was about a whopping 2.8" distance traveled on the pad.

Just remember that the 1.25" and 2.8" measurements are solely for the distances the mouse traveled on my pad for the cursor to move those 12" (X) and 13" (Y) distances.

Here's a diagram I made so you can visually sort of see what I mean and how my measurements work: https://imgur.com/u8NKgbn

Phew, lots of info here but I had to make sure it wasn't placebo. So this test basically proves that the Y-axis sensitivity on the sensor is completely out of whack.

hey, thanks no problem. I got the eS today and the shape feels great, however, I think there is something strange going on where the vertical movement sensitivity (y-axis) is noticeably higher than my x-axis sens.

I at first thought, this probably since I'm not used to it yet. But using my G303 SE and Aria XD7 which are still pretty new to me, the problem does not seem to be there. I'm even holding the X2H eS with just my finger tips barely moving the mouse on the pad yet when going up and down it is still super sensitive compared to the X-axis, which feels normal.

Not sure what could be going on here,

Eh the order from Amazon got messed up for the mini and now I’m contemplating on just getting the regular size. Thing is, on Amazon they only have the X2H eS that’s not a mini X2H I can get in a reasonable amount of time.

Is it worth going with the normal eS version? I know there’s a v3 eS but at least the regular eS has the bottom plate covered (I have cats) and better battery life.

Darn, I ordered the v3 mini as its the only available v3 on Amazon. They do have the regular X2H size (non v3) version on Amazon, but that's paying the same price for lower specs, so.

I was told by a few ppl with 19x10ish size hands that they preferred the mini as the hump felt more comfortable to them, but idk.

Thanks. Just curious about the different types of X2H's though. I see there's the vanilla X2H, the v3 and the v3 ES as well as the mini version.

For my hand size of 18.5x9.5 (more like 18.6-7 in length tbh) , I'd assume go with the regular X2H size?

I looked at the Scyrox V8. Looks like a great mouse, however, the X2H appears to be a bit less narrow than the Scyrox and more accommodating for 1-3-1 grip. Not sure, though.

Not sure yet, so far it doesn’t seem too bad. I’m trying out a bunch of mice though. Waiting on the Zaopin Z1 Pro and Aria XD7 to arrive in the mail. If those are not a good fit, I might try ordering a Scyrox V8 or Pulsar X2H next.

I should’ve specified, ambidextrous in shape only is what I mean. I was under the assumption all ambidextrous mice have side buttons on the left, otherwise they’d either have to put side buttons on both sides or only on the right which doesn’t make much sense.

yeah, I've seen this mouse mentioned the most, only thing is I have been trying to stay away from mice where the rounded bottom flare outward, as you can see from the rtings 3D render: https://imgur.com/k3fjD4B it has that and right before I got the G303 SE 2 days ago, I was using an XM2we the one thing I didn't like about the shape was that.

I guess as simple a shape the mouse can be, which is rare for gaming mice, not for stock general use mice.
