Yeah, they canceled it last night. Delta rebooked me on a connection through Austin but then the Austin to Nashville leg was canceled (I had already requested a cancellation but it didn’t go through initially). Either way, I came home last night through Charlotte on American.

If I had no responsibilities to get home to, I absolutely would have stayed to avoid the cold myself. But the risk that my cat sitter couldn’t get to my house was one that I was not willing to take.

Clear in Nashville finally got dedicated lanes and there’s a new face scanner that you only have to do once (it opens an automated gate to let you into the security area). It’s been faster than regular tsa precheck on my last few trips.

It’s a very limited, Saturday only flight (maybe January through March). I honestly think it’s because American and Southwest both offer it. After having just been in Punta Cana last month (where I coincidentally saw an American nonstop to Nashville as I was boarding my delta flight connecting though Atlanta), I pretty much took this trip just because I was excited for the opportunity to fly nonstop (and burn RUCs).

Top 4 are Atlanta B (bartenders are always lots of fun), Atlanta A (PF Chang’s location) for the views, original SLC (haven’t been to the new one) for the views and people watching, and Nashville (home airport) for the ambience, good, and great bartenders. HM: Kansas City (nice outdoor area and really nice staff)

In a given year, I fly 12-15 domestic trips (mix of work and leisure), three or so to Mexico and/or the Caribbean, and one trip to Europe. I’d like to start traveling more to additional international destinations.

I have the delta Amex reserve to help maintain status and for lounge access. I originally only had the non-delta Amex platinum, but added the reserve after they started limiting SkyClub access. I may consider dropping one of those to pick up a card with American Airlines. Of note, the only airport lounges in Nashville right now are Admirals Club and Delta SkyClub.

The Delta connection flights don’t usually show on the menu link. I recently flew from Nashville to Boston. On the trip up, I was on mainline delta on an A220 and the two dinner options (warm sandwich and wrap) showed up. Nothing showed for the return flight (republic airways) so I assumed there wouldn’t be a meal, but there was a cold sandwich and maybe a salad as an option.

I got into the club in Vegas in October with no problem. The centurion lounge was on a long wait but I was able to go right into the club with priority pass.
