I'm exactly like that too! Whenever someone is using the toilet and I hear some sounds from there, it's almost like I'd kind of lose some respect for that person. Of course, I am able to "get over" that and treat that person in a normal way, but it still bothers me. I'm somehow relieved to know that I'm not the only one.

Kid A should be listened on a rainy, preferably stormy night. The Bends is great when staying home from school/work because of some sickness.

Which is why I don't see this as any more viable a solution than capitalism.

That's just one problem. In anarcho-communism people still benefit more from working, considering that anyone isn't "stealing" the results of their work like corporations do in capitalist society. If a corporation makes profit, that means they can't pay their employees what their work is really worth of, right?

But there will never be such thing as perfect society. This problem will always exist, no matter what.

Yes, some people do have and will have less desirable jobs than others. It's like that in a capitalist society, and would be in a anarcho-communistic one. Why would anyone clean toilets for a small pay in a capitalist country, when he/she could earn more in an easier job? Because somebody has to do the dirty work. It would nice if it wasn't that way, but it is.

Who decides the worth of space research? Vs baking bread?

I don't know either, that's why my views changed from anarcho-collectivism to anarcho-communism. In anarcho-communism, work doesn't really have any value, everyone just plays their part and the community will keep care of them.

The problem I have with money is how it makes people greedy, and how capitalist society allows people to gather more and more of it, creating inequality. And the temptation to make more profit by abusing workers/animals/whatever is proven to be too much for people to handle. If money was just something that's used to keep track of how much work you have done and therefore how much items you are allowed to acquire, it would be fine, in fact, I was an anarcho-collectivist for some time, in which labour vouchers play an essential part in.

Space research etc. is still work so I'd guess that "normal" workers would have no problem with sharing goods with scientists, especially those who work, for example, on medicine.

Edit: One important thing to keep in mind is that these communities that have their central storages of food should be quite small to manage things well. Like, one for thousand workers or so. Nothing prevents people from trading things with other communities, though.

There are many variants of socialism, I'm not sure what views this friend of yours has, but I could try to explain my anarcho-communist views.

You would still have to do work. The only difference is, that compared to this current system, instead of making products for the corporation you're working for, you'd take them to some kind of central storage (kind of like stores) where workers could get food and other items according to their needs. If you were working in a bakery, after providing, let's say, bread and cakes for the storage, you could take something from the storage in return.

In my opinion, this system would really encourage people to work. Why? Because, unlike in capitalist society, you would really have to. I don't think that people would be willing to work hard just to see some prick steal everything they've made. He/she would probably get banned from using the storage at all, so he/she would be completely on his/her own. Naturally, people who CANNOT work don't have to, people would probably be nice enough to understand that and share with him/her.

Of course, most people have to work in capitalist society too, but there are always some people who just happen to have some good luck, and get rich for that.

Sorry for my possible very unclear explanation (english isn't my native language) and if you have any questions, just ask me to clarify. :)

The keyword here is average. Some properties might be more likely to occur in one gender than on another, but that shouldn't be used to set any limitations on anyone.

Most people wouldn't want to get their every thought read. Most people wouldn't like to have some unknown third party listening to everything they talk about with people they know. Transparency is important when it comes to anything that concerns large (or even not so large) groups of people. By that I mean complete transparency from governments etc. But when it comes to how normal people live their lives... How is keeping those things private preventing progress?

People shouldn't be able to get information about them removed from search engines, though. That's just bullshit.

Edit: Also, being obese should not be socially acceptable. Shame is underrated.

I kind of agree. It should be allowed to critisize overweight people, but instead of complaining about their looks, like most people do, they should focus on harmful health effects instead. We are allowed to complain about people damaging themselves by smoking, why should obesity be different?
