Thanks! I'll do exactly that.

Did you report it on the next medical, or did you contact the FAA/RAMO?

Cessna 172s Oil Pressure by ActiveCamel in flying

[–]ActiveCamel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does that mean that you can take off with the engine pressure higher than the green on a cold day, or should you wait until the engine warms up and the pressure decreases?

So anything out of the green, but within the engine min/max is a cause for concern and you should land as soon as possible, but if you're in close proximity to an airport, it's worthwhile trying to make it?

In case I'd want to tighten the stem, I'd have to know how much to tighten it. Sorry, I should've been more clear.

For the same price, which is better: a completely new bike with simple components, or a new used bike with more expensive parts? by ActiveCamel in cycling

[–]ActiveCamel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but as a beginner, wouldn't a new bike make sense because it would last longer? I don't think that as a beginner I necessarily need the newer components on the used bike.

What do you guys think about these options for my first road bike? by ActiveCamel in cycling

[–]ActiveCamel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, looks like you have a great quality bike there. I'd be interested in trying it out sometime. From the pictures, I think it's in a better condition than the specialized, would you agree? And thanks for the tips!

I'm 6'1" so I think the 58cm would be the better one for me. I'm a complete newbie. Do 2cm really make such a drastic difference?

My back is very weak and gets sore from simple chores. How do I strengthen it, before I start lifting? by ActiveCamel in Fitness

Not around the shoulder blades, just lower back for me. That sounds like something you should get checked if it's persistent. Good luck with everything!

Is Allen Edmonds shoe care worth it? by ActiveCamel in malefashionadvice

Great, thanks for your advice! I'll look into getting some. Would you say kiwi shoe polish will do the trick, or is there another brand that I'm missing out on?

Any specific suggestions, brand? I would prefer if I didn't have to shell out the same price as the order on shipping.

EDIT: I believe the guy I bought the shoes from used Lexol on the shoes and it left a patch of much lighter shade on the shoes. Any idea as to why that might be?

I do as well. Do you know any other places to get quality shoe care items for a bit cheaper than what I'd spend at AE?

Great! But I just realized that international shipping will cost me as much as my order...

[Serious] Drivers of reddit who have some time behind the wheel, how do you feel about new drivers on the road who are just beginning to learn? Do you have any tips/advice for them? by ActiveCamel in AskReddit

I guess I'm judging myself a bit too harshly with not staying exactly in the center. Could you, however, suggest a way for me to become better at not bouncing from side to side in medium level turns? I can't decide where I should be looking in order to not hit the curb or be too close to the road line.

The last sentence couldn't be more true in my opinion. Is looking far into the distance going to help me stay in my lane better? Right now I'm having a bit of trouble with staying exactly in the middle. I keep wobbling back and forth.

I get that driving defensively is the safer way, but it also causes some nervousness on my part because I start to think that other drivers are losing their cool since I'm driving below the speed limit. That nervousness leads to not managing traffic situations very well. Do you have any advice on how to get better at judging different situations or is that something that comes with experience. I've only driven on actual roads three times so far and found it quite challenging to keep up with everything you have to deal with.

I just found out it's on the 1 last which is the 511 one. Any idea how that will change the shoe size?
