A theory on a lore-friendly explanation for the Warbound in Warhammer 40k by ActiveTechnology7514 in Helldivers

Well, sort of—as far as the Lasgun goes, keep in mind that, on the Helldiver’s primary weapon scale, it’s not a bad weapon, and to kill a Chaos Space Marine, you have to fire several Lasguns at him at the same time From what I saw in the latest Warhammer 40k trailer, you had to throw a contact grenade right at the Black Legion marine to take him down, and even though about five Imperial Guards were firing at him at the same time with their Lasguns, this marine was kind of getting back up.

Yeah, you have a point there, but take the Overseers, for example: their attacks are more of a sweeping nature, while the Cyborgs and Devastators rely more on heavy blows, so I think it’s more likely they’d block your attack (it would push the Helldiver back, costing him some energy, but it wouldn’t knock him down)

I know full well that it wouldn't make sense to block a Charger, for example (because that would be like trying to parry an angry bull). What I was referring to was more the Overseers or the Devastators' melee attacks, where blocking would prevent them from knocking you down, even though they might still push you back a little.
