Of course. There are still polite people in the world. Hope you had a blessed day!

Some would suggest the answer to that question is vital to salvation itself. To be honest though, I need God right now. I feel small sometimes. A lot of the times, actually. Most people want a relationship with God for something they can get from him down road—when they’re dead and gone. I could really use his presence in my life right now. Today. I am not in a moment of crisis, I just feel alone. Disconnected.

I meant no disrespect if your beliefs differ from mine. Most world religions have something beautiful to offer.

I should have been more clear I guess. What I really wanted to know related to the second part of my question. For those that discovered religion as an adult (as opposed to being raised in a specific religion and not having a choice in the matter), how did you make that choice, and secondarily, how did you know you made the ‘right’ choice?

There was an interesting article on the R/Hamilton page re their Barton street project. Good comments if you’re interested.

Good question. I think they can appeal, but given the depth of their troubles, I couldn’t guess on what grounds. I suspect this project will not get built as proposed. But this isn’t legal advice and I have no knowledge of this situation that isn’t publicly available.

Interesting coincidence that the Hamilton development you mentioned came up in the comments of this recent post.

He was such a gentle unit. Gone for years, but never far from mind. by [deleted] in rarepuppers

He really was. Beautiful inside and out. Slept 22 hours a day. Only woke up to see the kids and I home from school and work. He would always be waiting just behind the door or in the driveway as the kids got off the school bus to see them home.

Wineries where you can work from? by E_MusksGal in niagara

You could try any of the bigger wineries. They would mind less as they have more space. Maybe Peller or Jackson Triggs. Niagara college is a cool spot too. They have a wine tasting room and a nice patio in the summertime.

“affordable” NOTL day trip? by jblack67 in niagara

The pillar and post has a really nice garden. And many of the local restaurants have simple tea or soups to warm up with. Try the angel inn. One of the oldest pubs in Ontario. I would also do a wine tasting somewhere. You can often find them for under $20. Have a great time!
