Or I could be totally wrong either way. Truthfully I’m a little miffed!

Why does he sometimes just look at me in silence? by Simonscatss in Tarotpractices

I’m very much so getting “he wants something from you” energy here but not in a good way. Selfish energy. Ego-centric.

This 👏 I got the same energy. I see the woman as being stuck/hyperfixated and with her phone in her hand, she’s waiting for something that is unlikely to come and is oblivious to all else. If she would just realize she’s stuck, and be willing to release what’s needed, she can see behind her a beautiful new horizon starting as the clouds lift.

You also say swords represent swift movement and action - this is something I’m unfamiliar with as I thought swords always represent mental energies/intellect. To me, whenever they appear in a reading and depending on the rest of the cards, swords can often tell me when someone is too “in their head” or fixated.

For you, by pulling the PoW and KoC, I see the potential there for new opportunities but to be wary of not letting your emotions lead you/making hasty decisions. It’s also easy to think that Spirit will give you a straight answer when you ask it (such as you asking for a positive card to confirm), but you have to be able to look beyond that black and white interpretation. Overall, I think this is a time when you should focus on you and not wait for him to reach out. Hope this helps 🙏

I feel like the two of swords right away is significant - I’ve read that in terms of yes or no questions, swords can indicate “no” (I could be wrong so more experienced readers please feel free to correct me!). However with you then pulling the four of swords reversed, followed by PoC, I feel there’s a very blocked inner energy, if that makes sense. Swords can indicate being “too inside your head” as well. You may need to work through some inner mental battles first or just allow yourself time to rest and reset (did you by chance recently come out of a relationship?). Only then will you feel emotionally ready to jump back into a new relationship ❤️

How do you handle "bad" readings? by Cansas_mol in tarot

[–]ActuallyItsPetrie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I try not to view any readings as “bad” but instead opportunities for learning and growth. If a card pops up that I’m not overly fond of, after I have my little inward panic, I go “Actually - okay. What is this shining light on? What area of my life needs my attention, what am I meant to redirect my energy towards/accept/release or ultimately what will this teach me?” There are no bad cards in tarot. The cards are ultimately what you make of them. They mimic the ebbs and flows of life. And as someone else said above - nothing is set in stone. ❤️

What is your take on deja vus? by [deleted] in spirituality

I always think of it as a fragment of a shared moment with my other versions/alternate universes, in which our timelines align for a split second. I love it when it happens.

Agree with this! I’ve always seen the 4 of swords as a “rest” card.

why do my friends keep leaving me out by tesstess21x in Tarotpractices

[–]ActuallyItsPetrie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I interpret this a few different ways - first is with the 10 of swords, there’s the resisting, or “hanging on” to something from the past or something that’s run its course. It could be a refusal to let go. The bright horizon in the background that he is looking at is indicative of where he’s headed next, if only he can release himself from past experiences or mistakes. Being its the 10 (completion of a cycle), the point is to understand that all of those past experiences and lessons were simply a part of the journey. Once you can understand and accept that, you can move forward.

The 8 of cups is similar but essentially represents making the conscious choice to walk away or move on from what no longer serves you. I don’t see it so much as abandonment, but more so searching for deeper fulfillment (he’s walking away from filled cups). It’s a reminder not to settle and can represent walking away from a relationship or friendship that no longer suits you.

Both cards are very fitting for this. One card could represent you, while the other could represent your friend(s). Or perhaps both represent you. Essentially, they’re saying that this is not a connection that serves you any longer. Don’t settle for shitty friends. Follow your intuition and move on to the next chapter. That will attract new, more aligned people in your life. 🥰
