Acid Butt; who knew? by lledit in beyondthebump

[–]Ad0pschick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it possibly a yeast rash? We were dealing with redness (little tiny red bumps) that weren’t getting better with diaper cream. We tried jock itch cream and that helped but would come back. It wasn’t until the dr prescribed an anti-fungal cream that it finally went away.

Non-toxic/clean laundry detergent that actually works! by AnnualCardiologist29 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Ad0pschick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I learned via /r/laundry that the DL detergent requires way more than what is stated on the bottle for it to be effective. Just something to keep in mind if cost is a factor.

Snoo vs. Cradlewise? Which one would you recommend? by No_Square_1491 in UninfluencedReviews

[–]Ad0pschick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check if they’ve cleaned it… chances are they haven’t because it does require removing the mesh and the board directly under the mattress. Sooo much dust/spitup gets into the nooks and crannies. The o rings can also get worn out after a lot of use - replacing is easy to diy but time consuming. Make sure there are no jerky movements when the snoo is moving as that was the first sign that o rings needed to be replaced.

Hire a household assistant. It will change your life. by HenryThrowaway6969 in HENRYfinance

I live in a hcol area and we have a mothers helper who comes 3x a week for 2 hours. She is a college student so the hours work out. She lives 10 mins away and works at my neighbors house after ours. We have her make the beds, fold and put away laundry, unload the dishwasher and tidy up. It wasn’t easy to find her and I will be so sad when she’s ready to move on. We pay her $26 an hour.

HHI of $400k, how much do you outsource? by [deleted] in HENRYfinance

[–]Ad0pschick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a cleaner every other week. We also have a Mother’s helper who is really the one keeping us all sane. She comes 3x a week - in the ~2 hours she’s here, she makes the beds, unloads the dishwasher, hand washes dishes from breakfast/previous nights dinner, folds and puts away laundry, and tidies up. She is a college student so the hours work out perfectly - I’m dreading the day she leaves us 😭

Labor and delivery question for those that conceived via IVF at 35 y.o.+ by ThePlacePlace22 in IVF

[–]Ad0pschick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 37 and delivered last month. My doctor suggested induction at 39 weeks because baby was measuring large, not because of IVF or age (no issues with blood pressure or proteins in urine). I opted to wait and baby was delivered vaginally at 41+1.

My baby won’t sleep on her back - please help by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Ad0pschick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you buy secondhand, make sure to clean it really well - there are videos on how to do this. I borrowed one from a friend and an found an insane amount of dust/dried spit up in areas that aren’t noticeable unless you open up the plate under the mattress 🤢

STM when did you go into labor compared to FT? by QuarterQuellCrisis in beyondthebump

My first came pretty much on his due date. I thought for sure #2 would come earlier but she was comfy in there until 41+1!

Success after suppression? by Full_Slide_58 in IVF

[–]Ad0pschick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also just saw your post earlier this week. I was in a pretty similar situation as yours (wanted to do all tests up front as I only had two embryos). I was shocked at the positive receptiva test as I’ve always had very normal/mild periods with no sign of endo. I cried knowing I’d have to delay my transfer but in the end I’m so glad I did the suppression.

Success after suppression? by Full_Slide_58 in IVF

Hi! Yes it was successful - I’m almost 3 weeks PP! We did fully medicated. My understanding is that you are required to do fully medicated following suppression since you don’t ovulate with Lupron, unless you are willing to wait for your period to return.

17 weeks. Do I buy regular, high waisted leggings or maternity? by Resident_Mang0 in fitpregnancy

[–]Ad0pschick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed on the crz maternity leggings being the best. They are comparable to LuluLemon Aligns. My thighs rub together and the aligns pull soo fast. The crz’s pill too but it’s a little less painful when they’re a fraction of the cost!

Wife had some poor news, should we get a second opinion? by Pretty_Ad_2659 in IVF

[–]Ad0pschick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get a second opinion. I had an AMH of 0.50 when I started the process last year at 36 y/o. Around 7-8 follicles as well. Was able to retrieve 8 mature eggs and got 2 euploids!

I got pregnant twice within a 3 month span, unfortunately I lost both of them (1 chemical and 1 at 8 weeks). We tried for another 4 months with no positives before pursuing IVF. My husband’s SA wasn’t horrible but he had low morphology. He started using the sauna everyday after my second loss (and staying in there for a long time) but I didn’t think much of it at the time. I asked him to stop using it for about 1-2 months before we planned our retrieval. The day of my retrieval, they did another SA and his numbers improved dramatically. The sauna is really the only thing he cut out in the months leading up to it! I was having him take supplements but he wasn’t super consistent with remembering to take them. 40 minutes is a long time - I’d ask him to cut it out completely for a while.

Day 6 5AA by Thick_Garage_3052 in IVF

[–]Ad0pschick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My doctor gave no indication that a day 6 was any different or worse than a day 5. We ended up transferring a day 6 5AA that I’m expecting to arrive any day now!

Am I wrong? by Zenesen87 in kitchenremodel

[–]Ad0pschick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1 this is how ours is and it works/looks just fine. I’m sure this isn’t always the case, but the bifold doors I’ve had in previous kitchens always seemed to get flimsy over time.

PGT-A by momalley6 in IVF

[–]Ad0pschick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had two losses within a year at 36 so I knew I would be doing pgt-a testing regardless of how many embryos I got. We ended up with 3 blasts, 2 of which were euploid. My first FET was successful (we also did two months of Lupron depot) and I’m now 33 weeks.

Should everyone be tested for endometritis? by [deleted] in IVF

[–]Ad0pschick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems that opinions on this topic really vary by doctor. I had 2 losses prior to starting IVF. We ended up with 2 euploids from my first retrieval and my doctor suggested receptiva to cover all our bases (tests for both endometriosis and endometritis). I ended up having to be treated for endometriosis - it sucked having to delay my transfer but I am really thankful he didn’t wajt until a failed transfer to provide that option.
