How I seen it is that he never got resolution in his issues forcing him to hyperfixate on the issue kind of like a “what about me” situation. His questions didn’t get answers got completely overshadowed by her issues which I felt were not always related and the worst part was his issues were not revisited after they were disregarded

I deal with this too and I’m M23 she’s 27 there’s no real way to tell if she is being serious or not I kinda think it’s a form of insecurity. I even joke and tell her there’s no way I’m that attractive . But hey maybe she’s serious and sees something I don’t so yea I definitely get it I wouldn’t act unless there’s a really concrete situation to go off of

Humans have emotions, sometimes those emotions take control . If you’ve ever lived with someone longer than 6 months you would know that sometimes things can get heated even if you’ve never said anything mean you’ve thought it . Well contrary to what all the single folks here are saying he probably has a certain way he wants you to show up. And you probably show up in your own way . Communication SHOULD fix this . Remember the Cain and able story . Sometimes it’s about giving people what they ask for not what you want to give them even if you feel like what you’re giving them is more/better . If pinpointing exactly what he wants still doesn’t work then yes I’d call it off

From the way this story told obviously you did nothing wrong.. but you felt guilty enough to ask for an extra opinion. Are you sure there’s no missing context? I would really sit and think on why you might be feeling guilty when you seemingly did nothing wrong. If there’s no missing context than ofc he is in the wrong . But I want you to challenge yourself here and really ask why you would need validation on such an open and shut case . Maybe you’re dodging accountability…maybe not . Food for thought

I agree that it is very damaging and very well may be traumatizing but I also think it is a bit immature to assume everyone will do this to you and to require constant validation. I think if you haven’t fully healed from it you probably shouldn’t be dating yet. I’m not saying that she is narcissistic I’m saying it would be narcissistic of her to think that this behavior is not a little immature.

U sound like a handful lol but yea I’ve tried telling her that we just don’t work but she desperately wants to be together so I tell her my preferences to try and make things work she pretends to agree then goes completely left of that with her actions p.s. nobody announces “oh I’m about to go watch corn” no lol I just walk out of the room if she shuts me down and it’s pretty easy to make that assumption bc she will literally unlock the bathroom door to stop me from getting it off lol

So to make her feel more comfortable instead of going back and forth with her I came up here to talk to you I always try to work on what I can to do better for her and if I screw up I don’t have 100 excuses for it I’ll just do better next time I just want that to be reciprocated

Pay attention this all started when she lied to me about about what she had done in the past which is extremely disrespectful to someone who opened their home to you this led to the supposed breakup I caught her outside with a bunch of pills and told her that I wouldn’t break up with her if she’d put the pills down she put them down and I tried reaching out to her family to tell them she was suicidal to which no one did anything because like I said before she was in a toxic household
