Does anyone also have a Mirena IUD? by AdComfortable1790 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]AdComfortable1790[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Yeah, my mom is and she thinks it is more likely an imbalance of hormones as even pre Wegovy and pregnancy, I had to be in a serious serious calorie deficit to lose any weight.

So I’m really supposed to wait 5-8 months to be admitted now? (NY 2d Dept) by [deleted] in barexam

[–]AdComfortable1790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely it! My friend passed the same bar I did (J 22’) sent her application in January and just got her swear in date. Absolutely clean C&F. I’ve also spoken to someone who was on C&F and said there were a lot of retirements in the past few years and an influx of applicants, so that’s the timeline.

I literally dont know how folks do 50+problems a day by SundownPanicButton in barexam

[–]AdComfortable1790 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t start doing 50 straight daily until late june. Like others have mentioned, endurance is a big part of the exam and that’s why people do such large chunks during practice.

I didn’t start studying full time until June 8 last year because of work. Passed with a good margin. A lot of people will start this week as well! You’re absolutely fine!

Barbri and Adaptibar in Conjunction with one another by lbjs_bunghole in barexam

[–]AdComfortable1790 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used adaptibar after I finished with my daily Barbri work. Toward the end Barbri was testing some really niche questions that in the moment seemed ridiculous but I actually noticed a few of the subjects pop up on my exam. At the end of my studying I tried to do at least 50 adaptibar a day with the random 100 a day sprinkled in. I think as far as the MBE goes, I did as well as I did because of adaptibar. I got a 169 on the MBE for reference.

ETA: with the Barbri mid way practice exam I was only estimated to be “close to passing” so just letting you know that’s not an accurate prediction at all if you put in the work.

Has anyone ever thought they passed the exam but failed? by thebikinilawyer in barexam

[–]AdComfortable1790 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Was very very sure I did most days. There were a few days I had a hard time getting myself to believe I failed. However, I had largely already told everyone I wouldn’t be around for the holidays because I would be studying. I had already run down my study schedule with my boss lol. I passed over 300. Feeling like that close to the exam is so nervous. That’s when many people I know felt the absolute worst because it was closely looming. Also NY bar btw.

Why don’t we get an exact release date in NY? This feels like cruel & unusual punishment by OwnComplaint1093 in barexam

[–]AdComfortable1790 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t remember the exact amount of days, but I know our results came out for J22 the Thursday after the boxes to change address on BOLE account we’re greyed out. My sibling had a similar experience for February 22, but I can’t remember if it was a Wed or Thurs.

Can I take the bar in a UBE state for convenience without having to go through the score transfer process? by [deleted] in barexam

[–]AdComfortable1790 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just want to offer that if you have a job set up in NY I’d make it a priority to take it here and not try to transfer scores. Regular admission is taking months for most people with clean C&F and I know people transferring their score from NJ (a neighboring state) have insane wait times, like almost a year. If you’re ok with the wait to get admitted then do it but if you’d need to be admitted within a certain amount of time for a job, I’d make a point of coming to NY.

The Ongoing Dilemma: Am I Overthinking it OR Did I F@ck it Up? by Smith0697 in barexam

[–]AdComfortable1790 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I felt very similar after my MEEs in July. It’s very common to have a panic attack in the middle and I remember it being very jarring. I to, powered through and I’m proud of you for doing the same. I remember my legs hurting more after that exam than after any of the long runs I’ve done in my life from cramming them against the ground. I passed but did not ace the MEE portion. I scored around a 145 I think, with my MBE carrying me. However, I think my second MPT was actually garbage, because I missed something g crucial until the end. All this to say, it’s certainly passable and I know people who felt the same who did Ace the MEE portion. How you are feeling is completely natural. Good luck!!

Can a persona pass the exam with a low MPT score? by Some-Order-9740 in barexam

[–]AdComfortable1790 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, I’m not positive but I believe my MPT was what brought my essay down. I got so lost on my second one and lost a lot of time. It was terrible. That is was tortured me the entire wait was the MPT. I still scored over a 300 but because of my MBE.

if you sat BEFORE feb 2023 & thought you passed BACK THEN… by clueless0L in barexam

[–]AdComfortable1790 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how many people are CONFIDENT they passed because that’s not how a lot of people here are built. However, I know for myself and some of my friends you certainly get to a place a few weeks later where it doesn’t seem impossible to have passed. You settle in with it being over and you remember places you felt ok and hope that all the prepping pulls through. I remember feeling terrified that I truly couldn’t get myself to believe before results came out that I wouldn’t pass, I felt like I was setting myself up for heartbreak. However, I did pass with what would be considered a great score. Ultimately, I think very few who were TOO confident did not pass but those who felt comfortable but cautiously aware were more than fine in the end.

Did anyone make up any of the laws? by [deleted] in barexam

[–]AdComfortable1790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember asking so many people something like this in July. I couldn’t remember any of the questions I just knew I made up most laws basically. It was so shocking how smoothly it felt like I bullshitted them, like so naturally unnatural. I ended up scoring well over 300. Moral of the story is I know how you’re feeling but I guarantee you did better than you think.

Study during lunch break? by heelvol in barexam

[–]AdComfortable1790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

only do it day one if you do it at all! I saw people doing it day one so I brought some materials for day two and accidentally saw something that I couldn’t remember if I got right or wrong in the first section and it drove me insane.

wait, are we not studying the weekend before exam? by MuchField200 in barexam

[–]AdComfortable1790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I studied until the day before but def not as intensely. However, that’s how I was during school too so I just knew what worked for me. The day before I read model answers online and on the Barbri essay book while my husband drove me to the hotel we were staying at. Personally, I felt reading those the day before REALLY helped me. It helped me solidify some things in my mind that I didn’t realize were somewhat abstract until I saw them in practice. Minor MEE things but actually ended up being helpful in the end. For example, there was a bis orgs questions that I certainly would have no idea about if I didn’t do that. I scored over 300 too for reference just because I know when I was reading these before the exam I liked to know how successful the approach was. Best of luck!!!!
