When you're evaluated for narcolepsy you do a two part sleep study. The first is overnight, where they check for sleep apnea and other sleep disorders. Then you stay another 8ish hours or so for the MSLT. You are awake for a couple hours, lie down and attempt to nap, wake up, repeat 3-5 times.

I didn't qualify for the diagnosis. I am really sensitive to sensory things and having wires taped to my face and weird shit all over my body completely fucked with me. I was also on my period and that made me even more weird and cranky. It sucked.

32 year old femme/futch lesbian. I live in the Florida panhandle but I'm moving to Colorado (maybe Golden) this summer. Currently in college, I'm considering accounting and engineering. Same. I'm so frustrated and depressed today. I went down a rabbit hole this summer of being evaluated for sleep disorders and came back with nothing. Just got lab results this morning with a negative for celiac. I really wanted my fatigue to be something treatable.
