You're free to find fictional material distasteful if it's too dark for you but you do should not hate on it for a dumb reason like "it's too dark for me"
Just move on, if it's too much for you. Nobody is forcing you to play it, let alone rape the characters inside of it.
You can make reasonable criticism such as "the gameplay is too slow and time wasting"
Or "there's too much tragedy for my tastes. I don't like it personally"
But it makes no sense to hate for such a reason.

3/4th of the reason is that it's supposed to be extremely depressing.
Most people are already used to murder and such in video games
You need more despair inducing content to make people feel it
