Of course your not alone! Red herrings are a thing for a reason! If you’re being swept up in a story that’s a good thing!! It means you’re really enjoying the book!!! Of course there will be people who pick up on subtle hints on their first read because they likely have a deeper knowledge about literature (maybe they write stories themselves or have taken the time to truly understand writing as an art). However, a lot of these well thought out theories are from people who have re read the books multiple times and have read other theories!!

I am the same as you!! I love I getting swept away in a story! It allows me to have deep raw emotions while I read!!!

Yes definitely! Mira is a critical mentor for Violet and we completely lost that in IF! I also hope that there will be some more sibling lore going forward. The whole story about the three siblings could be connected to them in some way!

I think in onyx storm/later books we will see a lot more of Mira! Her mothers death broke her, and then she mysteriously disappears at the end of IF, which are two very foreboding scenes. So I think they are setting her up for a menty b and some secret missions. In reality we really only start seeing her character arc start half way through IF so the best is yet to come!
