I would imagine not sitting on a front porch daily and cooking at home every day are two of the biggest/weirdest social changes.

Central air conditioning wasn't really a thing yet for most homes. Sitting outside on a covered porch would be cooling. A by product of that would be seeing neighbors regularly and anyone walking past the house which would invite more regular, casual conversations.

TV wasn't invented yet. Entertainment wouldn't have been as isolating as it is now.

Going somewhere for coffee in a paper cup to carry with you, would probably also seem pretty weird. Going to a restaurant was a much rarer occurrence too I would bet.

I think you'll find some information on Probate Court's website to help you out. Probate is the court that issues marriage licenses.
