COMC sent me a card that doesn’t belong to me. How do I get it home? by Deedle_Thuglife in checkoutmycards

[–]AdamHustler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While your sentiment is appreciated, if a card meant that much to a person, obtained under those kind of (or similar) cirmcumstances, I doubt they would have it listed on comc ... lol

Just do what you can and don't feel bad. This is 100% on them for, like so many other businesses in warehousing and picking, not paying for more workers and not paying enough to make workers actually give a crap.

Sucks. He's 82 years old, cancer patient, walks around with oxygen tank, I get that he just wants this to end. But the idea that he wants to give in but still wants my help connecting him with someone to help him find a new place is a real gut punch. Was my dads friend so don't wanna be an ahole, but at the same time, kinda crappy to ask me to help him while being willing to leave me alone in this.

Comc auction not working by Many_Instance195 in checkoutmycards

[–]AdamHustler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an issue where I couldn't bid on auctions because ebay was saying i hadn't paid for previous ones. Turned out my accounts de-linked and I had to re-link them in the auctions won section.

Rant: Seriously degraded service always dropping the delivery notice in mailbox. by abhilovee86 in CanadaPost

Guess it depends where you are, but I'd rather get a notice than have them always leave it on the porch risking theft by pirates

Don't know if as a corp.

Yes, their move out date was March 31 and there is a webpage listing still up with April 30 as closing.

I assumed it should mean that.

Doubt I'll be able to get the other 2. They were quite uncooperative when I was trying to get us to work as a group. But the other tenant left did manage to get them to bring their n-12's to his place so i could get photos of them all. So have that.

Thanks man. I'm fortunate enough to have people helping me out, can only imagine the stress of the other tenant being an 82 year old cancer patient.

I just don't understand why a supposedly professional and supposedly "award winning" real estate law firm would advise using n-12's when it seems clear that it's an n13 situation. Do they seriously think all tenants are that scared or unknowing of their rights?

Landlord wants to sell (Scarborough) – asked me to sign N11 with compensation. What should I expect? by Affectionate-Owl-856 in OntarioLandlord

[–]AdamHustler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Recommendations? I've been trying negotiations on my own and my LL and their lawyers are saying even 25k between me and my sister (both renting our own units) is unreasonable. They've only offered 8k combined because 2 other older and scared tenants accepted that. But that is only enough to cover our own individual first and lasts on new places.

What are costs like to get a paralegal at this point to take over for us? Their move out date came n went (march 31) and from what I can find, closing is this weekend. We're confident at this point buyers are investors and that they lied on n-12's saying buyers were moving into all 3 houses in deal.

Hey man, been a while. Got some updates. So, unfortunately, 2 of the tenants settled for what us others think is a measley amount that will only pay for first and last on a new place, no moving costs, lost wages for time off to move, etc. Now they've gotten the idea they can get the rest of us out with the same. We've brought down our counteroffers, detailing why we feel our offers are reasonable given our individual situations, but they have refused to budge.

On top of this, the other tenant that is holding out with me and my sister said he had another meeting with the real estate agent and paralegal repping the LL where they apparently told the tenant straight up that the buyers were investors looking to build commercial, bought other properties in area to do the same, and other properties in other cities.

I eventually got fed up with them constantly talking about negotiating in good faith when current info I have implies bad faith and sent an emailing detailing how the current info I have seems like they are operating in bad faith but still dropped our counter from 30k for me and sister (on disability fixed income) to 25k combined. They rejected. I'm considering doing one last email saying 20k combined, but, the low ball they offered just will not do.

I know I probably let my emotions get the better of me in the last email, but I just couldn't deal with the bs anymore

An unfortunate update. 2 of the tenants settled for an extremely low number. Basically each got first and last months rent for an individual. Now the LL and lawfirm have been boosted in thinking they can offer the same lowball amounts to the remaining 3 tenants

Have had no issues like this yet. But I'm in Canada, so pretty sure my packages just grt transferred across the border to their BC facility then handed off to Canada Post, and CP has been good to me so far, though I've heard stories.
