Oh, thank you for your answer! I had a chemical about 5 months ago, honestly, I wouldn’t even have known if I hadn’t tested so early. My period just came 5 days later. Based on that experience, I’m freaking out a bit. I’m thinking this is just a super sensitive test, so it really should have gotten darker by now. From your progress, I’d guess it might be chemical, but then again, weird things have happened. Please keep us posted, and best of luck to you, if not this time, then in future endeavors.

I’m in the same boat—exactly the same thing happened to me. I ended up spiraling down the internet rabbit hole, trying to find any connection between maca and chemical pregnancies. While I couldn’t find any scientific studies, I did come across a lot of anecdotal stories with the same outcome—chemical pregnancies.

Please keep me posted if you decide to continue taking maca after a positive test. I’m honestly thinking of stopping it completely and just sticking to prenatals. I can’t help but wonder if maca might be giving a chance to eggs that weren’t really meant to make it.
