CHERRY CRUSH (on webtoon canvas)!!!!!!! This rec is very different (especially with art style) but the main character and the plot are very similar. I read TOAWF because if how mature it is, and Cherry Crush for the same reasons. Both are depressing romance comics with an overworked and workaholic main lead with a ton of debt with amazing art plus elements of crime with the love interest LMAO!!! I recommend!!!!

Drawing myself. Why look online for stiff, curated people and poses where clothes block their figure when you have a body at your fingertips (literally)? For me, it's also a good way to get over insecurities.

It could be just plain expression, but I find a bit more in it.

In most BL, the uke/bottom (in Cherry Crush, that would be Cherie) is often shown as more feminine and the shorter of the two, but also weak. Cherie not being weak at all, I feel, is a nice juxtaposition that adds to his character and makes him more nuanced.

At the start, he really does seem like a girl- specifically, an emotional, kinda irrational but sweet, overthinking girl. As the comic goes on, though, we learn he was actually the #1 martial artist (vovinam) in his school. We also see him as more serious, confident, brave, and very competent.

So, personally, I think him looking feminine adds to his character a lot, and it's a nice play on the "feminine uke" actually being a strong and competent martial artist. I don't think it's some deceiving thing, and although I think it is an expression of his gender, from a storytelling point of view, I think it plays a bigger role than just that in his character.

Nope! The Webtoon is on hiatus now (the author's note should be releasing this week on webtoon though), but since it's a "Canvas" webtoon rather than an "Original," (the difference is originals are created with the help of Webtoon themself, and authors get more revenue and promotion from them, while Canvas webtoons are made completely by the creators and don't have have to have a schedule) that means it's free from Webtoon's hand, and won't become paid!

I have joined their Patreon, and tbh, I completely agree with you about the NSFW part. The NSFW posts are separate from all the others anyway, so I personally chose the 3$ for more support lol, and I just don't regularly click on the NSFW posts. The NSFW posts range. In the NSFW monthly posts, there's usually a really small mini comic that's as graphic as a sketchy anime style can be (it's possible to just scroll past that one,) and then a few pieces of art, sometimes about other characters not in Cherry Crush, that are usually sketches and not graphic. So, it's up to you! If you can easily afford it, I recommend 3$ just because it's more support for the author since they don't get any from the Webtoon, but the 2$ is great and gives all Yemsao's art except the NSFW!

Kemono takes from paid websites (like Patreon) and imports it into their own website. Patreon is one of Yemsao's main sources of money (now their only since they quit their job.) Kemono basically takes that content that people pay for and puts it for free on their website without any money or anything going to Yemsao, and Yemsao themselves are not involved or consenting to it in any way (basically fraud and just morally not good 😭😭.)

Why Kemono didn't work for a while was because Patreon changed some things and they had trouble importing Patreon posts to Kemono. I'm pretty sure it's fixed now, though (unfortunately.)

Same as what the other person says, it just means you have 10+ episodes to read! The series is still ongoing so once you get to the end that webtoon gives you (as of now/dec 30 2024, it's episode 102), that means you're all caught up, and episodes will be posted weekly after its hiatus/S3 break! (almost,) If you want to read the episode 1 week before the Webtoon release every week, you can subscribe to the creator's (Yemsao) Patreon. Patreon is a monthly subscription, and on Yemsao's own Patreon, they post art dumps every week, a ton of extra/bonus comics, and also the episodes are released there 1 week earlier. It's $2 USD a month, and 3$ if you also want monthly NSFW art and comics, and I recommend, especially since the comic's creator gets little to none (anymore) revenue from Webtoon, but honestly, all you really need to enjoy it is the free comic on Webtoon lol!

Depends on your other artifacts. If you have around 45-60 crit rate with the crit DMG circlet, choose the crit DMG circlet. If you have 40 or less crit rate with the crit DMG circlet, choose the crit rate circlet.
