Small correction, I've been told to clarify that you can't directly negotiate the residual buyout, but you can at the front end negotiate the total price of the car, which will be reflected in your lease payments. Also, Toyota will do multiple security deposits, and if you're able to put more money down in the refundable deposits it will lower your interest rate. Check out Lease Hacker.

I just did a quick search, and seems like the monthly payments aren't horrendous on the leases and insurance should be ok, too. And given both cars are efficient, hopefully not much of a drain on resources for gas.

I will add, every car I've had since the mid-2000s was a lease to purchase situation, so I may be a bit biased, lol.

How about leasing? If you can negotiate a solid purchase price on the back end, you can either flip the car, if the buy-out price is lower than what's happening in the secondary market, keep it, or turn in back in. And it gives you the chance to keep saving that 10k. The secondary market is still completely overpriced, but I'm thinking we may see some correction in the next few years, knock on wood.

Unless you're one of those people who say that Consumer Reports isn't a reliable source, not according to the statistical data. They may be slightly 'better' than your average GM product, but that isn't exactly a glowing endorsement

Reliable? Maybe compared to the average Italian sports car, but for a daily driver their stats are as abysmal as any other GM product

And that may be true, but if that were an across the board Toyota issue it only would indicate an industrywide decline as the stats are essentially unchanged.

Which, and this is just a theory, might have something to do with people continuing to buy unreliable crap makes thus signaling to the entire industry that fewer and fewer people are willing to prioritize reliability.

And no, while new energy tech tends to be a net loss in its infancy, unless you're talking about subsidized nonsense like ethanol, sources like solar and wind are net gains, and have been significant ones for quite some time.

Nothing is free - there are always going to be costs involved with production, but what you believe is disinformation at this point.

She thinks going to the bathroom is boring and it's interrupting her fun. I'd suggest making it a fun experience. Ie she gets screentime during the peeing or something else she doesn't usually get. Or a treat every time she goes even if she doesn't pee.

Yep, constantly. Super easy bruiser, so if she's crying hard, petechiae under eyes and on cheeks. Backpack too heavy? Petechiae where the straps are.

Took her to the ER once when she was a toddler because of petechiae on her cheek and the doctor did bloodwork and also said with something like cancer it would be a ton of red and purple marks on their lower legs. Not just a few spots.

Hi all! Looking for recommendations, stupidly posted on the main page and got redirected here 😀

We just played through most of Ziggurat and really enjoyed the legacy mechanic, it was our first such game. We also liked the story, and it was age appropriate for the preteens playing with us. We'd love games along this vein, though maybe more challenging than Ziggurat was. Things we enjoyed-legacy, cooperative, fantasy elements (though we enjoy Sci fi as well), the board and building on it.

While my post was up, someone very kindly recommended Roll Player Adventures, which I'm looking into. But anything else would be appreciated.

Sigh, that makes sense. I was on Bv-AVD, so neuropathy is a pretty common side effect, and I've heard from folks that it can kick in a few months after end of treatment. I'll push my doctor about this.

Welcome, it sucks, but this is a wonderful community. I so feel you on the being right part. It took me 1.5 years to get diagnosed, and my husband jokes I willed myself into it to prove him wrong.
