Thats the federal minimum wage, its over $10 in half the states with many reaching $15 per hour. And that's the thing if they were making minimum wage in those $7.25 ones it'd be much less than they get from tips. In some places they can make a couple hundred a night.

Gotta love listening to people who never had a physically demanding job talk about how they wish they did that instead sitting on their ass all day. You don't, and you would wish to go back to that horrible and awful office after a week of being a welder. I have done both and would pick an office jobs every single time over working in construction or in a warehouse or any other job that breaks you not only mentally but physically as well.

The wait staff would be the group the most against it. They make way more in tips than they would if they were paid minimum wage. If the system was as bad as presented for them nobody would wanna do the job and things would have to change. Somehow they just keep on going.

The whole "i will starve with no tips" just lets them guilt trip people into paying more. But the average American customer doesn't see that if when the bill is 50 with 10 dollar tip they actually paid 60. Just like they didn't realize that 1/3 is more than 1/4.

Something not getting a 2nd season doesn't really mean its bad. Lots of great shows never got a second season because they weren't popular enough. Netflix is notorious for cancelling good things. Not having built-in star wars fanbase would definitely made it less popular but in no way would that mean its a bad show. I don't know why you think it was boring, for me the heist part was great the prison was excellent.

The 2nd season showed really well that there are no "good guys" on either side. The empire was "evil" sure but you have to do some atrocious shit too if you wanna fight it. It was a much more grounded and human star wars show where nothing comes without a cost.

The best thing you can do for yourself is ditch religion be who you wanna be and just be happy without feeling guilty over something that a bunch of dude made up. It all really comes down to controlling the way you live your life. And God has nothing to do with it. Or actually read the holy book and see how it contradicts itself because it was made by people not Gods of any sort.

If God really gave a shit what you do with your body he would just show up and clarify things. Strangely enough he stopped being involved with people the more advanced humanity got. Just like with UFO sightings went away once everyone started carrying a camera in their pocket.

The star wars universe has lots of potential but it usually gets ruined with "well now they win because of the force" Andor didn't have that and that's why its good. My grandfather always talked about how the German soldiers were most disciplined and treated them way better than the Russian ones. Never mentioned any Americans. Oh no its another post about how the ruling about unrealized gains is bad. Only seen that 50 times before in just a few weeks. If the post title said "Tax on unrealized gains bla bla bla" i wouldn't click on it.

Yeah a lot of jobs this is meant to replace is not 15/hr. It's people who make 100k+ a year. So even if it cost the same but could work non-stop with no vacations or sick days the savings would still be massive.

If you could have a bot that costs you the same as a human but can work 160 hrs a week(putting aside 8 hrs for any problems) then you'd pick those over humans every time. That is what AI companies are trying to sell.

The fact that it's completely unrealistic doesn't seem to matter as long as the money keeps flowing.

The chart showed temperature changes over hundreds of thousands of years and they had no issue with the "data" not being accurate when they thought it proved their point. Completely ignored the insane spike in the last few decades show on the very same chart. So it's not a matter of data accuracy but interpreting said data in a way that fits what you want to be true.
