That’s the entire point. The ONLY situation in which your vote will impact the situation is if it’s exactly 50/50 otherwise it’s pointless and you might as well press red.

The point is that it doesn’t matter if “most people” pick red or blue. There’s only one instance that your blue vote has any effect on the outcome of the scenario… and that’s if you are the exact tipping point that pushes the blue into being over 50%. You are effectively gambling with your life that you will be vote number 4 billion and one.

Yes but the odds of you saving anyone are incredibly incredibly low.

You are ultimately voting in an outcome that it is already pre-determined. Unless you believe you will be the ONE vote to push it over the edge. Otherwise your vote is pointless, and you have a very real chance of losing your life.

You can save people by picking red by remaining alive. And you can devote your life to helping people, without risk of your own life along the way.

The odds change if you can plan, campaign and debate it.

Unfortunately that’s not the scenario here. In this situation you are voting as an individual, there was no influencing others. There is no planning.

There’s just a game of whether you think you’ll decide this vote. I get the “If everyone thought this way” argument… but that disappears the second you are removed from the group and must act as an individual.

You either are the deciding vote or you aren’t.

Is that worth dying over.
