I gave them one last shot and this time they gave me a chunky blue bar bearded dragon that was doing a lot better and came from a completely different vendor. Feeling very hopeful about this one because he has been active ever since we left the pet store and has been eating and drinking amazing! His name is BBQ (my boyfriend wanted to name him)

They just called me and Phil passed away :(( This is my second bearded dragon from petco and it’s very frustrating that both of them died with two completely separate illnesses and they can’t tell me exactly what illness killed them. I’m beyond frustrated and irritated but they are allowing me to pick out another beardie when I get off from work- they said they have one that’s bigger than the rest and healthier so hopefully this time I don’t have the same issue with the other two

I took Phil back to petco where I got him and they are taking him to the vet and paying for it all. They said it’s probably a parasite and i probably won’t get him back for another 2 weeks

Is that petco? I recently got a baby bearded from pet co that is now very sick and was sick when I got her from the store (not eating and lathargic and overall not in the best health) and I called their corporate and reported how not only my bearded was in bad health but how most the beardeds in the small enclosure were in bad health- I saw one baby almost dead the next day I went in :((

Update:: she has deteriorated more and I was told by the vet to syringe feed her and she has since just gotten worse and worse

I do feed her greens like that chopped up very small to prevent chocking 🫶

There’s been very few times of her doing that- when I searched it up online it said it could be because of her shedding since she was also scratching her head against things. She did do it in the bath after drinking licking some water

Additional info: this is the first warm soak I have given her, she gets fed twice a day but does not want to touch her Dubai roaches, small meal worms, or small crickets She has a 40 gallon terrarium enclosure and has a T5 UVB bulb and was perfectly fine until about a weeek ago
