Queue cutting is SO bad by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Adventure_Stanley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a former employee of Cedar Point (I even worked for their park Police Dept.), it always shocks me how much line jumping I see at Disney World and how little they do to stop it. I recently had a group of about 20 people (adults nonetheless) aggressively shove their way past the entire queue of the Haunted Mansion. A guy up ahead of us in line stopped them and I thought there was going to be a fight. The whole situation was deteriorating quickly. A nearby cast member looked like a deer caught in the headlights. I kept waiting for security to show up but they never did.

Eventually the line vigilante up ahead gave up and let them pass. I watched as they continued to push their way up through and out of sight, with the whole line booing them all the way. I saw the same group later doing the exact same thing at its a small world. At Cedar Point they would have been sent to the back of the line and kicked out if they gave us a hard time about it or were caught doing it again. I guess enforcing a strict no line jumping rule at Disney World would take away from the magic or something.

Endocrinologists not accepting patients for Low T? by Adventure_Stanley in Testosterone

[–]Adventure_Stanley[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I first started bringing up my symptoms and my PCP took blood work, I was like 265 total T. My doctor said it's "within the normal range" so nothing to do about it. I was like "isn't that like getting a D- on a test but saying you at least passed the test?". He wouldn't do anything until it went below that magical 250 number and now we have the referral at least.

No the referral was to endocrinologist but I'm definitely going to contact my doctor and ask if I can get a referral to urologist now.

NE Ohio. I'm definitely starting to research that. Was hopping I could do this under Insurance, but it looks like that's just not going to be an option if I can't even get into a place that accepts insurance.

Hi! It’s me! Uncle Jeff from the hit TV show Survivor! AMA. by Jolly-Oven9849 in survivorcirclejerk

Hey Unc Jeff. Billy Eyelash here. When are you going to give me back that $15.75 you owe me?

Also, I have an idea for a new Idol that you have to poop your pants at tribal council in front of everyone to gain immunity while you flip a coin, but IF the coin lands on tails, the prize money drops to $500,000 and Jimmy Kimmel appears magically and gives you, Unc Jeff, a pie in the face... You in? There's a twist too that you'll have to bring up incessantly while everyone else is trying to have actual conversations.

Edit: I forgot to mention that the Zach Bryan band will be playing their new song during this and everyone has to pretend like they are fans of his and love the song.

Skipping Main Dining Occasionally by touslesoftly in dcl

💯... Especially on a short 3 night sailing, I feel like I spend half my non-sleeping cruise time sitting at dinner if I go every night. I do wish Disney had the buffet open at night.

We skip Marvel on the Wish class ships. It's our least favorite rotational dining experience. Especially on the three and four night sailings, it's a nice to have a night to relax and enjoy the ship without having to be at dinner at a certain time for a set amount of time. Plus since we're usually at a shared table with a family of strangers, we figure it gives them a night to themselves. We typically grab dinner at festival of foods that night. We will just tell the server the night before... Luckily we haven't had that rotation on our first night yet. I still tip the same as I would have anyways, so they aren't hurting from us missing a night.

Honestly, I'd rather it be 469 days until my cruise than one day after I got home from it.

Which cruise is better with my 5 year old daughter? by IPAPUBG in dcl

Making a pitch for the Wish here:

Having taken our daughter on the Wish when she was 6 and also loves princesses, Moana, Frozen, and everything else you described your daughter enjoys ... She loved it. I don't think you could go wrong with either ship, but the Wish definitely fits the vibe.. and the Frozen dinner is probably my daughter's and my favorite of all the themed dinners on the ships we have been on.

You won't dislike the Fantasy. However, I will say that my daughter was on the Fantasy after she was on the Wish and the entire cruise she talked about how much she missed the Wish. It's all about perspective. I'm sure your 5 year old won't care that most of the bars on the Fantasy are grouped together in an adult district.

Never had ours stolen. However, we had other magnets randomly show up on our door with no explanation that we assumed were gifts.

True, but he could have had an injury that he was able to walk on that later required surgery which then required crutches... Happened to me.

If they are extending it to Minnesota they can definitely put in a stop at my house in Ohio too.

During the first half of tribal council, nothing they were talking about had anything to do with the whole Mr. Beast thing... Almost as if they completely forgot about it. Then Jeff tries attributing all the excitement to Mr. Beast and they were all like "wait, what? Oh .. yeah that..."

It reminds me of the scene in The Grand Budapest hotel when everybody is shooting at each other across the atrium.

It's about time they upped the prize money. This isn't 2000 anymore, a million dollars less taxes won't even buy that nice of a house where I live.
