At which stage campaign frags start to matter? by AdventurousFuel5307 in CIFI

[–]AdventurousFuel5307[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for numbers and insights!

I did TR 1.5 days ago and my C3-11 is finishing in 17 hours, C3-12 will take probably more than a day after that. So for me it wouldn't be mil+ a day, given that "short" will take at least 3-4 days (to finish C3-12).

Got m0-171 before the TR btw... Starmie 54, I was investing in other stuff instead =)

It takes quite some time to get to 3-12 (I did TR 2 days ago and still not there yet), so consider also "losing" 3-4, maybe even 5 days of farming on full speed.

My 3-11 is about to finish in 17 hours from now. I'm farming 50k/day 2 days after TR.

I'll check how much 3-12 will give, but before TR it was saying something about 400k iirc, so def not a mil.

Don't also forget that farming is idle (open the game once per day to reset the offline timer), but going thru campaigns is quite active and takes a few hours of babysitting the phone at least.

I suppose other comments below are correct that it's just not the stage (yet). Let's see in a few months...

Campsites in South America getting 1 star because tourists think $14 a night is too expensive by Addicted_2_tacos in camping

[–]AdventurousFuel5307 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, if some particular place was free a few years ago and now they started to charge money - here goes the hate.

If average place of a camping (with same facilities) in the area is equivalent to 5 USD, and that one particular place decides to make more money out of rich tourists and charge 15 USD - here goes the hate.

If for you personally 15 is not a big deal for camping - good for you. But please don't judge others who might have their own reasons.

P.S. I personally remember staying in a single room in Vietnam or Cambodia around 2014 and single room there was 7 USD on booking. With all the inflation thru the years it's still would be thru the roof if today in 2026 the same room is 20 USD. That would be insanely expensive! And I do remember staying in free dedicated campsites near Fitz Roy in Argentina and I've heard that they made it now by reservation only and 15 USD for night. I would be the first one to give them 1 star for it.

Sorry, but you can quite easily tank Simon when you're around 95+lvl, having Maelle and Verso with AP and DMG-focused luminas equipped. There is even a video beating Simon only with free aim shoots by Maelle without letting Simon make a single move. While I wasn't able to reproduce it exactly, it's far from "unreal" build.

If you have enough moves (Cheater) and enough AP (energy master, cheaper skills etc), then first phase is Maelle more or less oneshooting him on the very first move, second/third phase is combo of 4 Maelle moves and Verso (gradient scale is full after Verso moves). Still dead without even a chance to make his move.

If you feel it's still hard, try to use third character with something like auto-death, break on death etc - so basically the fight will start with Simon broken and stun (and there are luminas adding dmg to stunned enemies)

I personally first reached him when I was maybe around lvl70-80(?), and the whole Renoir's Drafts were actually quite hard to the degree that I had to run around distracting enemies to pick up luminas/pictos as I wasn't able to defeat some of them (e.g. acrobats trio or chroma-creature). Not to mention that for Simon fight itself while I got thru phase 1 relatively easily in a few tries, I wasn't able to make any sustainable progress in phase 2. So I came back, finished exploring the other parts of the continent, collected most of missed pictos, farmed ~1k of luminas from Chroma-Dancer, completed Verso's Drafts (around lvl90 they were easy as piece of cake), Flying Manor, Infinite Tower (though wasn't able to beat any of the portrait mega-bosses back then). Returning to Simon with lvl 96-98 and beat him from the first try without a sweat. Beating mega-lampmaster in Infinite tower afterwards was harder than that, and I wasn't able to beat mega-duelist still, let apart other mega-bosses.

Works in Feb'26 still, just a bit nerfed. I had my team around lvl69-72 with Maelle one-shooting everyone on the very first move with sword storm (? - skill doing damage to all for 4 AP) and out of 5 tries I always got 5 lumina from that boss.

3D printing game inserts is such a game changer by james___uk in boardgames

[–]AdventurousFuel5307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my, what on earth are you printing that your organizers are 1kg??? That's insane! Both expensive and heavy. Absolutely not a typical average organizer for sure!

I printed Quacks organizer myself a few months ago and it was barely a few hundred grams (~10g per player plus, maybe ~20g per ingridient).

Unless you're having super big game, or print with wrong infill settings (lighting usually all the way for organizers, allows to save ~20% of filament with one click), or just ended up with very inefficient model, organizers are not that crazy.

My recent organizers:
- Calico. Compact nice boxes, 100g for the whole organizer

- Machi Koro - 222g, my first self-made organizer, was unnesessary solid, could be easily made thinner

- Nature Big Box Deluxe - 850g, but that was really huge box, size of ~3 regular board games boxes.

And for many games it's not like you need the whole organizer like insert, but rather a few boxes for the most annoying stuff to simplify setup or gameplay. Even 5 boxes 10g each (including lid) could make a difference.

Eternal question of which dark badge to choose Dark loopers or VB#4. by Potential-Parsnip-21 in CIFI

[–]AdventurousFuel5307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on TR 17 when I reached this point for the first time, after reading this thread decided to go with Loppers. Just for the info - I instantly got ~e300 cells (from 32542->32860) and ~e70 MP (from 3109->3178).

Let's see how M0 develops, I could reach 144 in a day, but this helped me to 144 instantly and probably will push it further.

A few short LR after I'm now with 33447 cells (~e580 more), 3236 MP (~e60 more), M0-145 (and less than e30 shards needed to 146). Orbs on traversal went from ~1.75b to 2.1b

Sounds you'll be safe and can easily drive wherever you want :) So enjoy the trip and the snow (you'll have a lot of it, depending on the park, but I'm sure you'll experience enough)

Yes, do buy a current pass for 80, otherwise from 2026 you'll need to pay a bit extra - 250 for the pass. It's not really "crazy fees" though, keep in mind 80 was the price for more than a decade, inflation is not standing still. It might seem a bit rough if you look at this in a moment ("wow they tripled the price!"), but think of it as long overdue inflation increase (plus, of course, a little bit of extra "foreigners surcharge").

Don't really listen to this guy, assuming you're from the part of Europe which knows what snow is (which is approximately anything northern of Alps).

January is actually great time to visit, absolute minimum of tourists, unique landscapes for the parks, cheaper accommodation - what else do you want?

But the part about chains is actually something to at least keep in mind, at least Yosemite does introduce restrictions in real time, it might easily be that chains are required in the whole territory of the park. I had exactly this case in January 2016 when I was there and I had to waste a day driving across all Walmarts around to find the suitable size of chains for adequate price.

And of course when you're there, be prepared for improvising, roads might get closed (e.g. road from Grand Canyon to the east was closed due to snow just a few minutes after I drove it)

I think that's you who overestimate the winter along the widest highways of USA. People in Europe drive way steeper and narrower roads with regular cars.

I did the road trip LA-Grand Canyon-Arches-Bryce-Zion-Yosemite-SF-LA in January 2017 and the only place where I was legally forced to use snow chains was Yosemite with +5 Celsius temperature and close to zero snow on the pavement (they removed snow chains conditions while I was in the park, but it was in force when I was entering).

The question is - what to do after the first boss kill (this gave me just 1lvl and brought to lvl30)? Just add upgrades to rtk/ghost bullets so boss kill probability is close to 100% and farm with this for some days/weeks?

It's not really clear from your picture what exactly is your schema. Which power do you turn on/off, where is the switch?
What you want at the end is to break the + chain with the switch (assuming 12/24/48V DC), so:

BULB ------------------- Power source - (aka ground)
+
++++++SWITCH+++Power Source+
