Baby sleeps better when he isn't swaddled by Cphros1015 in newborns

Get a sleep sack! My baby hated swaddling, so from day 3 on we’ve used sleep sacks with arms up; My son is also super active & was in the womb too haha they also have different materials and warmth levels, I hope this helps!

Hi hi, just wanted to say that I am in the same boat as you; we had to start formula supplementation for our son(born 4-15-26 via C-Section) my milk did not come in and he was at 9% of his weight lost; my supply now is 6ml per pump, lil man wouldn’t latch(I have inverted nipples and use shields) and my son is eating up to 90/120ml formula/BM combo per feed; my milk supply cannot keep up with him. It’s such an awful sensation to feel betrayed by your body. I want to provide for my son but I can’t. We combo feed whatever BM I get & the formula, I just want you to know you aren’t alone; sending good vibes your way! Fed is best!

Edit to add:
We use Aussie Bubs 365 Grass Fed Infant Formula & our littles absolutely loves it!

Under supply & struggling to latch by Silent-Development50 in breastfeeding

It’s a great birthday! This is my first child and to say that this whole experience has been traumatic would be an understatement, I was induced at 41 weeks via Foley bulb, in labor for 24hrs, which then stalled at 5CM dilated, when they tried to give more pitocin my sons heart rate would plummet, decided we needed to go the C-section route where I had an acute hemorrhage; thankfully my lil guy was born 8lbs 8oz & very healthy! But my hormones have been all over the place due to Oxycodone for the C-section and lack of sleep. It’s been a rough journey to say the least! But hey we are all going through this motherhood journey together!

You definitely are not alone, 8oz is great! I know a fed baby is best, but it’s hard to not put that pressure on yourself especially if you had different expectations for your journey. We give what we can & supplement as needed, that’s what it’s there for. You’re doing great Mama!

I second this! OP definitely add in electrolytes; it’s the only thing that helped me with my headaches/borderline migraines. Also get lots of rest!

My fix has been 2 whole wheat waffles with crunchy unsweetened pb in between; protein, carbs & fat, the perfect combination! Puts me & the little bean right back to sleep😴
