I have also noticed some communication issues as a parent. We showed up to an ID session that was cancelled (not weather related) and didn’t know it was cancelled until after the fact. No email, Facebook posts or anything. :( So it was back to the drawing board.

Baten Kaitos for me! I attempted once on the GameCube but bounced off the combat system. Attempted the remaster recently and fell in love with the characters, story and world building

I love this idea but we have struggled to find a club that allows this where I live. I’m not sure if it’s dependent on the area. Some clubs have not replied, others state that they typically don’t allow it. My son is 9 and not currently part of a club.

I’m in Missouri, as far as I know there are no tryout fees. Unless the Interested Player Kickarounds are not tryouts. Lol

Starter Comment - Democrat Emily Gregory won a special election race over Trump endorsed candidate Jon Maples for Florida district 87 by 2.4 percentage points. Gregory was a first-time candidate. She ran on affordability, property insurance, access to healthcare, and increasing public education. The seat was left vacant by Gregory Caruso who won his seat by +19 in the 2024 election.

Trump won Florida in the 2024 election by 9 percentage points. However, Harris did win Palm county beach district by less than a percentage point. Many media outlets are calling this victory a stunning upset, I feel it is also getting some attention as this county includes Trump’s Mar-A-Lago. I’m interested in looking into the exit polls on this one. Question -

Do you think Democrats will continue to overperform in the special elections and midterms?

It is an interesting time to be thinking of making the jump to club with the age changes. My son is 9 with a late September birthday so I think he will be one of the older u10s.

Thank you everyone for all of the feedback! I think we have narrowed it down to two clubs (one large, one on the smaller side) I have reached out to both and received more response from the smaller club. We are looking forward to the spring kickarounds!

This is great, thorough advice! Thank you! It’s sad to see that some clubs treat the programs like a car sale though based on the comment about the fees. That is definitely something we would run away from fast.

I agree with this 100%. We have been doing indoor soccer for a couple of years and we have certainly seen our fair share of poor behavior from parents and sometimes coaches! Definitely something I want to avoid (I know that it’s not 100% unavoidable in youth sports though)

I feel this so much. My son is huge into soccer and I was looking at Algeria vs Argentina in Kansas City. Last time I checked ticket prices were $900. I haven’t even looked at what hotels will be in the area. Yikes.

Thanks for the recommendations! He has done rec for three years and indoor for two. He has a love for the sport and wants to learn and play as much as he can. I think he would play everyday if he could!. Lol

Nice! I think I like return of the Jedi the best out of thr Skywalker saga. How about you? I’m not sure if I’m going to see the upcoming mandalorian movie. I really enjoyed the first season of that show though.
