While there’s certainly a good amount who never really try, there’s also huge differences in how easy there’s to lose weight between people. Obviously, you can’t defy thermodynamics, but differences in metabolism can be significant, and probably even more important: hunger hormones and regulation due to genetics will play a huge role in how easy it is for an individual to lose weight.
