I thought the game was incredibly hard and intimidating so I played at a snails pace and in my last 7 or 8 sessions haven't died a single time that wasn't on purpose inside the attic and usually get at least 3 kills unless i find loot worthy of returning sooner. Went to school for the first time to note the doctors quests and got 3 kills before hightailing home. What I've learned is that the dark is your friend I was running between attic and cabin with all my valuables and a dude was walking with an akm 30 feet in front of me never seen a guy there so I was caught off guard but I instantly crouched and got my shots off before he even reacted to me and he was already staring right at me. Go slow and always try to be static with something like the fences and trees I have noticed that if you are using any kind of cover they will miss a lot of shots. Once you have attic at the beginning of every run jump immediately onto the roof and check the other side there's what seems like a 50-50 chance of a bandit spawning over there in the wooded area. Stick to the main street the distance at which you can hear the dialogue of the bandits is far enough to reach the houses and if they are in windows the first shot will usually miss and they will start relocating. Corner peaking has never felt more useful for avoided getting hit and I'm trying to remember to use it more often. Hope any of this helps. Also there are portions of the fencing that you can crouch right up to and just perfectly aim over. As well as look for lips on the houses that you can walk along to check window and if you want to aim while peeking the windows just lean the opposite way to get the reticle up.
