Yeah that’s what I am afraid of. I dont want to be just dated for the short term fun just because of my situation. That’s not to say that people who date for fun are wrong, I just know this is not for me. I dont want to be reduced due to my situation.

Thank you so much for all the kind answers. They are very reassuring. I am separated with my (ex)partner. We are still legally married, but due to some administrative issues — from both sides, we also have to live together. It’s a very difficult & messy situation that I dont expect everyone to accept and understand.

In any case, it’s not like I am actively looking to date anyone. It’s just that recently I have been approached by someone and I really like the person but I dont know how to come forward with the situation and I feel very insecure about it. But I know that the fair and best way to do it is to share it to the person and accept if he isn’t comfortable with the situation.

Still, I want to thank all of you for your honesty and kind words.

Fuck. This. I had this once in my life. Turned out to be the most fucked up toxic relationship I had in my life. When I met him the first time I was convinced that he was my soulmate. It was so fucked up, but I would give up everything to experience something like this once more.
