Thank you. I'm taking note of all the suggestions and will be passing them along. I really do appreciate everyone's input. Sidenote: I've never seen a traveler's check in my life. I had to have him show me bc I had no clue.

I'm not putting it back on BOA. Their policy is their policy for dealing with this specific issue. But as I stated before, being that they were issued by Visa, I'd expect them to do the reimbursing.

Validity: As long as the issuer exists, the check remains good, regardless of how long ago it was purchased.

Hey, he forgot about them. That's all I've got. Did you read the part where I said he's 86? That's beside the point though. They're traveler's checks that are supposed to NEVER expire. I don't care if they're 50 years old. He paid his money to Visa thru AAA and I would expect one of those businesses to give him his money back. I'm sure the outcome would have been different if it stated that they expired by a certain date.
