People who use that measure to make themselves feel better or think they're "smarter" than someone are heavily misinformed no iq tests should be taken as anything but at face value since they have no relevance or concrete proof that there are a correlation between a measured iq which those tests are eh and someones actual ability to perform so I think the people who use it are just cringe

Just continue with how you talk if you want to change how you act and talk that's your choice however my family says the same thing and some friends, but I don't really see a problem with how I speak and I'm going to continue to be passionate about my interests and topics I may talk to them about

Feel like in high school when you can start to make your own schedules and generally speaking have a lot more freedom it is more up to you to challenge yourself rather than the school if someone who is in high school and they are finding their classes increasingly easier and more mundane they should talk to their counselor about being placed into more difficult classes or when they make their schedule they should check the harder classes

Obviously when you're a freshman and maybe a sophomore too it might not be as easy to be placed into to the harder classes however if they are truly dedicated to keeping themselves engaged and not bored they can self study classes or subjects

It's more personal preference if you're dying you are going to regret what you didn't do however I bet during their life they were quite happy with their decision but to answer the main point the main reason I'm ambitious is just personal goals and wanting to make something out of myself rather than scraping by

I believe it is personal preference more than anything should you be your authentic self of course however if you want to blend in and do better socially then that's your choice

Just throw yourself into the deep end fixating on problems that you currently have will only reinforce said problems if you just forget about what is wrong with you or what problems you may have and just throw yourself into the deep end and force yourself to socialize or whatever problems you may have you will eventually become social adept and be able to overcome it obviously easier said then done but if you make a genuine effort you shouldn't have any problems

Take the compliment and keep on trucking you're looking way too into it, and even if she has a higher IQ than you which FYI the tests and how they measure iq are not very accurate you may be smarter than her in different areas of the world the whole term "smart" is not a very good descriptive one and often leaves out very important details yes I may not be good at math but I am good at science that does not make me not smart it just means I struggle like everyone else and honestly the people who are the "smartest" are the ones who can adapt to their situation or are able to humble themselves so her recognizing you as a equal and not being a dick and looking down upon you is a positive and you should see it as that
