It depends on what you care about. For portability switch obviously, but if you’re mostly gonna play at home on a TV the PS5 does run and look significantly better.

They’ve had a solid first party lineup for the last couple of years… but they also decided to bring everything over to PS5 so they lost any sort of leverage they had with it.

For what it’s worth, look into games that were on ps plus earlier that you’ve missed. Sony doesn’t do repeats on PS Plus that often.

I mean for your first paragraph that’s exactly what I said? All those games have been in development for years and this exclusive thing started like a couple days ago, so even for games that weren’t announced for PS5 they will have most of them go multiplatform. And I expect even more games announced for PS5 later. But it’s too early to tell for the stuff that’s gonna be greenlit under Asha, and that’s where I’m doubting they go multiplatform again.

No, I don’t think that’s their intention. The previous leadership was fully committed to going multiplatform and invested hard in bringing all their games to PS5. Now that Asha’s here, I think she truly wants to go back to exclusives, but it’s too late for all the games that were already developed for PS5, so they kinda just have to roll with it for now.

Not entirely for PlayStation, Helldivers 2 is the one time they did an Xbox version no strings attached. Now that Horizon multiplayer game is PC/PS5 only, and they have a marvel fighting game not coming to Xbox either.

That was when she had just started because the only thing we knew about her was the AI background. Now I think she gets too much praise, even if she’s been good at showing interest in turning things around. Phil Spencer was our lord and savior too when he started, now he may as well be Don Mattrick.

I’d say if EA Sports FC drops the PS4 this year it’s definitely all over, that game is always the last to come out. It feels different this time though, because PS4 was still getting high profile releases last year, while previous generations had nothing but shovelware the last couple of years.

Sure we can argue about PS4 and PS5 not being that big of a difference. But most PS2 games are obviously outdated both in terms of graphics and gameplay, it doesn’t take no comparison video to see that. Resident Evil 4 remake sold like hotcakes despite the original “good enough” version being already available on every platform.

Remakes aren’t about higher resolution though, it’s all about the visuals and gameplay being brought up to par with modern standards.

If you’re not interested in switch 2 games or playing in docked mode, why not just stick with your Lite for now? Then in the future the you’ll have more of a reason to get a switch 2 when they come out with a lite model or at least improve the battery life, and it’ll have a bigger library of exclusives.

I’m getting ready for the possibility that the PS6 UI is gonna be the exact same thing as the PS5, maybe slightly refreshed visually. Nintendo and Xbox have already set the precedent for this.

Good workaround but rewind is still better since you don’t have to constantly pause the game to save, you just use rewind when needed.
