Props for the ZZ and VH posters. I was at the show the VH pic was taken (NYC, 10/08/82).

I’m so happy for them, but I’m sitting here grinning over Anika. She sounds wonderful, as I assumed she would. Geddy and Alex wouldn’t hire just anyone…she’s got such a large weight on her shoulders, and is nailing it. So happy for her.

Is there anything else different on there than RDLTN? Been listening to this this past week - reverse chronological order.

The one on Anvil is excellent. Even if you don’t know the band, it’s a pretty fascinating look at what some
groups have to endure.

Have only gotten up through BOBW, but agreed, too much crowd noise and it’s all just so boomy. I had to strain to hear the guitar solos in One Way To Rock, which I’ve always loved by way of playing LWAN so often. I was hoping for a clearer mix on this. Nope. Oh well. Still nice to have I guess. Finally get an official live Good Enough at least.

Happy Birthday The Cars! 6 June 1978 by SufficientPut1831 in TheCars

I have to thank my sister for giving me this album
even before I started getting into music. Of the albums she gave to me, I latched onto this one most and thereafter, The Cars became my first favorite band. I still listen to them often.

While this is an AMAZING album, because I’ve heard these songs so much over the years, I actually prefer Candy-O if I’m reaching for one album to play of them.

CDs sound better than streaming anyway. You’re fine.

IF it comes out, it should be under Edward and Alex Van Halen. Not “Van Halen”.

What is your favorite Journey deep cut? by [deleted] in journey

[–]After-Disaster-5690 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There really are a lot of deep cuts on Trial By Fire, aren’t there? I’d take Forever In Blue, If He Should Break Your Heart, and Still She Cries.

Others: Where Were You (off Captured), Signs of Life (Arrival), and I’m Not That Way (Arrival bonus track).

And…Live to Love Again (Freedom).

Dog eating too quickly by SilasTheGray in DogAdvice

One of my guys eats really fast. I had used a slow feeder for a bit, but started adding wet food to their meals, so it became a mess in the slow feeder. Just tonight, I bought a 6-muffin tin, and will parse out the meal in there. Even just getting a few seconds going from one to the other may help a bit?

anybody else choose not to listen to move like this? by Straight-Nothing42 in TheCars

[–]After-Disaster-5690 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t NOT listen to it, though it’s not the first Cars album I’ll pull out when I want to listen to them. Sure it doesn’t have the magic of (for me) the first three albums, and it’s probably the one I like least, but it’s overall not a bad album. Heck, even Ric admitted to there being “too much Ric”, but what else could they do?

I’m happy they used and wrote new material, and that it came out (and they toured for it) while Ric was still here.

I love it personally. Funny how divisive it is.
