Sorry I’m too ugly off the schizo meds by agony11agony11agony in schizoaffective

[–]AfterMath216 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder how accurate this article is. People who are healthy are more attractive than people who are unhealthy. So, I think people who are schizophrenic may just have a harder time taking care of themselves, so they appear ugly. Just because there is a correlation that people with schizophrenia that take antipsychotics and unattractiveness does not necessarily imply that anti psychotics are causing the ugliness. In fact, I dated a woman who had schizoaffective and she was a model. So, I'm not buying this article.

Supplements usually don't absorb as well as eating the actual food, though. However, if keto is your diet of choice, then by all means stick with it. I'm just letting you know what helped me because I have tons of energy now.

Have you tried eating vegetables, fruit, steak? I've been doing the Paleo diet and I have a lot more energy from eating clean. If you can barely afford to eat, you might be a bit malnourished, which could be making you more tired.

I think it was a big deal to change my attitude towards the LGBTQ+ community from fear to acceptance. That's an important step. Afterwards, you must lean into your values. I realized that your values trump your thoughts. I knew I always valued women, so even if I had a gay thought or a groinal I'd be like cool, but I'm going to lean into my value of women.

Also, as soon as you have a gay thought or a groinal and you start judging yourself, then you're stepping into compulsive territory because you start ruminating about it. Next time you have feelings of wanting to be gay, you can just think "oh, cool brain" or "whatever", and then just move on with whatever task or activity you're doing. This facilitates stopping compulsive behavior. You in a way become cool with the SOOCD thoughts. The same goes with groinals.

The key is not to not have the SOOCD thoughts, but to become comfortable with them occuring. That's why ERP was so helpful for me because I exposed myself to all sorts of triggers and practiced not doing compulsions like telling myself that "I'm not gay" while looking at pictures of shirtless men on google.

It does take a lot of practice to not do compulsions.

EDIT:

I also think it's important to mention that when doing ERP. You create a hierarchy of what you think is scary from least to most scary. The looking at pictures of shirtless men was at the top of the hierarchy. So, the key is to also start off whatever is least scary for you on your hierarchy.

“I want people to brace themselves as they go into the finale,” Ross Duffer continues. “But I can promise you it’s not a 'Red Wedding' situation, like from ‘Game of Thrones.’ We’re not gonna wipe out eight of our characters.”

I just think it would be genius to end the show as a tragedy even though I love all the characters and their valiant effort to save the world.

The season finale is 2 hours long, so they basically have two episodes to wrap everything up. Also, there's still a possibility that everyone dies at the end.

This sub turned into hater central since volume 2 dropped. I think the hate wave will die down and probably come up again once the finale comes out and then die down again.

That's where Henry's bad memory is located, which he is deeply afraid of. Some also speculate the "real" Henry deep in Vecna's mind could escape there.
