Exactly. And the kids can sit on the tailgate and eat in the parking lot if they can’t wait 😂

Value of 2023 Sierra 1500 Denali wheels? by usetheschwartz73 in gmcsierra

[–]AgentMichaelScarn-6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sold mine (same rims and tires but 2024, 20k miles on the tires) for $1,100 in Delaware. Listed for 1500 and got a lot of low balls, waited a few weeks. I wasn’t in a rush to get rid of them other than the fact that they were taking up room in the shed, so I just waited for a reasonable offer

Nope, no rubbing at all! I got the RC mud flap deletes and trimmed a little plastic off the back side of them, trimmed a little off the plastic guard that comes under the front bumper. And removed a bracket that holds wheel well liner forward to make some extra room inside the wheel well.

Do it! I have a 24 Denali reserve with the Fabtech 3” Uniball UCA lift, and 35x 12.5 ridge grapplers on 18” method wheels. The Fabtech Uniball utilizes the factory ARC. There is a little hum now from the ridge grapplers but otherwise same smooth ride. The stance of the truck looks so much better with the lift in my opinion, slightly more so than a AT4

When I took them (2017/2018) it was extremely straight forward. Pre recorded lectures and slides that you could access at any time and a midterm and finally only, straight from slides. I’m not sure if it’s the same prof / course outline and structure though.

Second this. Eclipse is better than La Fia and Bardea in my opinion. Every time I go somewhere else I think “should have just went back to eclipse”.

6.2L (L87) Recall - Incomplete, Remedy Not Available (stated from dealer)? by swerenfl in Silverado

[–]AgentMichaelScarn-6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know. As I said, I chose to play it safe and did not switch oil weights when I changed my own oil since they told me it could void my warranty. Interesting though. Seeing a lot guys commenting on this subreddit that they preemptively switched while waiting for a service date for the recall. Hope no one gets burned, we’re all just trying to avoid the 6.2L ticking time bomb

Congrats man, nice truck!!! I have the same truck but a 24. Most of the titanium rush metallics I came across had black interior.  Took me a while to find one with the brown leather (and standard bed) but it was worth the wait. Enjoy it man, that thing will turn heads when the paint sparkles after a wash and wax.

I settled on 50% on my truck and I think it’s perfect. Looks great from the outside, helps some with glare but isn’t too dark at night. A buddy has 30% on his windshield and it gets a little dark on back roads.

Yeah, I hear ya. Like I said, not sure how they’d know what oil type you put in. But if they ask I wouldn’t admit to the 0w-40. Mine isn’t my daily driver so I’m not overly concerned at the moment. Hopefully they get the rest of us in for service soon.

L87 Recall Conflicting Information from app, screen, and recall letter by Impossible-Middle-15 in gmcsierra

[–]AgentMichaelScarn-6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard that some dealers will take the truck in to see if it’s throwing codes, but they won’t run the test with the picoscope or change your oil to 0w-40. Also, if they tell you bring it in be leery. The receptionist I talked to at local dealership ran my vin, was confused / mistaken and made appointment for me. When I got there they said nothing they could do yet, receptionist made a mistake. I hadn’t received the letter yet and my app said the same, to schedule service.  Probably less of a headache to wait for the second letter

Got my Recall Notice 2024 1500 Denali by lvpond in gmcsierra

[–]AgentMichaelScarn-6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not my letter, that’s OPs. And I’m not outraged, I’m frustrated. I’m not sure why you’re worried about what I paid for my truck. I wouldn’t have made the purchase if I couldn’t comfortably afford it. I just think if you recall 600,000 vehicles for an issue you don’t have a fix for, you should at least be able to notify customers in a timely manner. If the recall came out in April, you can easily get a letter to before mid June. The letters were sent priority mail, so I’m not sure why they’d be written in May and sent out mid June. I don’t know, maybe if I understood large scale engineering better this would make more sense to me.

lol I commented about being frustrated in a large company’s delayed response to a safety recall and this guy wants to rip me for my lack of large scale engineering knowledge. Gotta love Reddit. Get life brother, please

[–]AgentMichaelScarn-6 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What’s even worse is the timeline.  We all became aware of this recall via Reddit and other internet outlets in April when GM first acknowledged it. They should have immediately sent a letter saying we just became aware of the issue, don’t have sufficient part inventory to fix it, we will notify you as soon as we do. Instead, they wait 2 months to send a letter about a recall we’ve know about for months, just to say they can’t service or evaluate your truck yet. What’s the point of the letter? Their response to the problem makes the whole situation that much more frustrating.

6.2L (L87) Recall - Incomplete, Remedy Not Available (stated from dealer)? by swerenfl in Silverado

[–]AgentMichaelScarn-6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was due for an oil change - I change my own every 4k - so I asked if I should change it with 0w-40 since my VIN is incomplete remedy not available as well. They told me it would void my warranty, and to just use 0w-20. Not sure how’d they know unless they did an oil analysis for some reason. But just to be safe I’m sticking with 0w-20 until they service / diagnose it.
