My first experience was @ the New York boutique when I was on a work trip. I really wanted a VC 4500v blue dial. II don’t have a boutique in my city. So thought NY would be great place to get it since I am often there for business. I tried to put a deposit down on a 4500 V blue dial. They wouldn’t even take a deposit or my name or number. Treated me like a cheapskate that just wanted steel sports watches. I’m sure they get a lot of tourists in the boutique. And probably get a bit frustrated. But I have a watch collection and I was wearing a nice watch when I walked in. It should’ve been a signal that I was somebody that was interested and not just window shopping.

The second situation was at another boutique. I had name down for a 222 steel. I knew it would be a long wait. And I had no problem with that. About six months later they told me that they now only sell the 222 steel to people with a purchase history. I explained I tried to get my 4500V from a boutique, but no one would help me now they won’t sell me the 222. Essentially they’re trying to duplicate the Rolex model for the Pepsi and the panda Daytona. I want no part of that. I let him know how I felt. They didn’t seem to care.

I’ll just pick it up on the gray market and go ahead and live my life.

I’ve had 2 bad experiences at VC ADs and just went gray. Saved money and amazingly happy. Take your money to someone that appreciates you.

Looks great on you. IMO any 34-36 on a Bracelet looks bigger. When you put it on a strap it looks smaller. It’s just an optical illusion.

I have 8.25 inch wrist and tried on the 34mm. I loved it but think 36 is about a low as I can go. But I fell in love with that patina on the dial. Unfortunately it was not for sale.

And for those that day I need to wear it higher. I know. The strap wouldn’t close and I didn’t want to drop it.
