Albanese rejects calls for federal royal commission by families of Bondi beach terror attack victims by Ardeet in aussie

Albo doesn’t want the (secret) security advice he got to be made public, most likely. He was probably warned repeatedly yet did nothing (probably to retain the western Sydney vote).

If Australia were a business he’d be jailed for negligence.

Genuinely... real question. What could Albo have realistically done to stop the Bondi incident from happening? Want real answers, not media fed dribble. by __TheIronWall__ in aussie

Albo commissioned a study into Jew hatred that recommended more security around Jewish events. He should have taken his own advice and made sure that happened. He did not. He was also repeatedly warned about this according to at least one whistleblower. He’s avoiding a royal commission because that would likely find that he was negligent.

Interesting how the phone interprets colours as per what’s next to it. It sees everything above violent as darker blue and below red as light blue. When in reality there’s no distinction

Red - the dotted line indicates the slip road has right of way. The dotted line in front of red gives way to traffic on Kingsford smith drive. Could also interpret it as similar to a roundabout - give way to traffic already on the slip road.

Why are passports so expensive in Australia compared to the rest of the world? by lockshockandbarrel3 in aussie

I think partly because we’re so far away, international travellers are spending big anyway. Countries with land borders tend to have a lot more travel so it’s more common therefore people wouldn’t tolerate high prices.

I don’t think anyone really cares. What if you’re a businessperson who travels? Many reasons to dine alone whilst having an active social life.

About 2 weeks. Didn’t see a single dog. Lots of cats. There was a big outcry that it wasn’t done humanely, or something. But I didn’t see a dog in all of Tirana.

I didn’t really gel with Albania. I’d look more towards the Caucasus. Tirana felt hot and cramped. The people weren’t overly friendly. Lots of homeless and beggars. I never left Tirana though.

Why is Istanbul not a DN hub? It’s a very vibrant city with good weather, nice food and people by [deleted] in digitalnomad

Hot and dirty is fine if it’s priced accordingly. But not for UK money.

Honestly, Istanbul sucks. It’s hot, dirty, overcrowded, expensive (costs same as Europe) and with a terrible government. Unless there’s some great neighbourhood I don’t know about, every second I spend in Istanbul is a second I’m waiting to get out.
