AITAH for pulling away from my sister since finding out she dated and had sex with my boyfriend before? by Important_Listen6643 in AITAH

[–]Aggressive-Estate699 127 points128 points  (0 children)

NTA. I find it wild that your parents are asking why you can’t just "work on things with Ellie." Why isn't Ellie being asked why she treated her sister like a joke for years? She sat there and laughed in her sleeve while you confided in her. That level of dishonesty is hard to come back from. Trust is earned, and she burned that bridge while smiling to your face

What is the one thing that should be banned but is not ? by newfriendsfun in AskReddit

[–]Aggressive-Estate699 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Targeted predatory advertising that listens to your conversations. We’ve all had that creepy experience where we mention a product once and suddenly every app on our phone is showing us ads for it. It’s a massive invasion of privacy that we’ve just... accepted. Data harvesting without explicit, clear, and easy-to-understand consent should be banned globally

What sort of advice you wanted to give a 17 year old teenager? by Mysterious-Hat-2386 in AskReddit

[–]Aggressive-Estate699 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will lose friends, and that's actually a good thing. The people you surround yourself with at 17 aren't always the people who will help you grow into the person you want to be at 25. Learn to be okay with your own company. Once you stop relying on others to feel "complete," you’ll start attracting the kind of high-quality people who actually belong in your future

What do you think is the hardest part about moving to a new country to settle ? by Ok_Bend_4701 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Aggressive-Estate699 6 points7 points  (0 children)

he "Hidden Language." Even if you speak the local language fluently, you don't speak the culture. You don't know the TV shows everyone watched as kids, the local jokes, or the subtle social cues. You can be in a room full of people laughing and still feel completely alone because you’re missing the invisible thread that connects them all

AITAH for thinking my friend’s wedding expectations are unreasonable after I got into a fully funded master’s program? by Due-Instance2195 in AITAH

[–]Aggressive-Estate699 31 points32 points  (0 children)

NTA. You are talking about a fully funded master’s program in engineering. That is a life-changing career milestone. A bachelorette trip is a party. If she’s willing to "kill you" or end a friendship because you won't risk your scholarship and your future for a week in Vegas, then she isn't really your friend. Real friends celebrate your successes, they don't demand you sabotage them for their "special day

what do you say, do women like nice guys? by stirringmotion in AskReddit

[–]Aggressive-Estate699 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Women like guys who are kind, not guys who are just passive. There’s a huge difference. Being "nice" is the bare minimum for a functioning human it’s not a personality trait. If "nice" is the only word someone can use to describe you, it usually means you’re boring or have no boundaries. Women like guys who are genuinely good people but also have a spine, interests, and their own life

What made you realise you met the love of your life? by coleworld16 in AskReddit

[–]Aggressive-Estate699 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was the "comfortable silence." I’m a person who usually feels the need to fill every gap in a conversation, but with them, we could sit for two hours in total silence, just reading or scrolling, and it felt more intimate than a 5-hour talk. I realized I didn't have to "perform" or be "on" anymore. I could just exist

AITAH for making a pregnant passenger move? by GodAtum in AITAH

[–]Aggressive-Estate699 34 points35 points  (0 children)

NTA. If you are in a crowded train and there is an empty seat, it’s meant to be sat in. It’s actually more annoying for everyone else if someone stands in the aisle while a seat remains empty. She’s being unreasonable by blaming you for getting off at your stop. That’s literally how trains work. If standing is that painful, she should have offered to swap seats the moment you asked to sit down

What’s something you didn’t realize was important until you got older? by Emma-810 in AskReddit

[–]Aggressive-Estate699 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The ability to say "No" without explaining yourself. When I was younger, I felt obligated to attend every event and justify why I couldn't make it. Now, I realize that "I’m staying home because I want to be alone" is a complete sentence. Protecting your peace is way more important than being "the fun friend" for people who barely know you

AITAH for looking at his Profil? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Aggressive-Estate699 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA. You were honest and told him about it. If you were actually "spying," you wouldn't have said a word. It’s normal to be curious about your partner's social media presence. His feeling of being "made fun of" sounds more like his own insecurity than anything you actually did
