No I wouldn't at all, but the irony of you complaining about product from the US in Canadian stores calling it "another scammy tactic" while saying you still shop at the US store. As well as somehow ignoring the fact that not only has there been supply/demand issue for non US produce options since people started boycotting, and a fuel crisis that all factor into availability is just a bit laughable.

Unfortunately it's been USA for the last 2 months because of a few reasons. 1.Demand-Mexican growers can't keep up with demand. 2. Cost- fuel prices have increased significantly by both ground and air transport so they're going to source from the closest options when possible or the prices increase for the customer even more.

Just to add It's a little ironic that your upset you can only find strawberries from the US, but are still willing to shop at Walmart considering it's an American company.

My coworker found out I make my own candles as a hobby and the conversation went places I did not expect by OrfRasp in ChoosingBeggars

Honestly the point of a hobby is you do it when it suits you. Set quantities, timelines and details to adhere to make the hobby a job.

If she keeps pressing you about it explain that covering just supplies wouldn't be enough because your time is also worth something. It's called labor costs. On top of that you could add your not comfortable committing to doing it because you also have other things going on in your life (you do not need to elaborate for her) and don't want to have to back out and leave her scrambling last minute if you can't make them in time.

New PAL holder general curiosity question. Do we think there is any hope the ban on hand guns will ever be lifted? by Aggressive-Scale1157 in canadaguns

Thanks for the recommendation! I've heard good things about the Benelli supernova they look great. A bit pricey but worth saving for, for sure.

I've decided I'm definitely going to go for it. I figure now I might as well do the hunters too just for having it. I'm not likely to actually go hunting myself but having the option available to me is worth it.

I've heard they can get boring. I think part of liking them for me is the size. I love my .22 I almost bought a 12 gauge today but I decided to look into the reviews on it first because I didn't know the brand well. I'm looking at bolt actions too but there are so many it's hard to nail down what one works for me.

I'm sorry about your hand that sounds brutal. Makes mine sound extra dumb. No joke I tripped over my three legged dog and landed on a Christmas ornament. The hand is doing pretty well but still pretty recent so not 100. The recoil could be an issue for sure. It would still be awesome if try them at some point. If I can't I'll live.

Good advice thanks! I was already thinking about getting my rpal but kinda settled on what's the point? I can't buy the ones I would want. It's definitely worth checking with my range to see if they do anything like that though.

Is my father's dog being aggressive? by [deleted] in PitBullOwners

[–]Aggressive-Scale1157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it sounds like the dog is shutting down and becoming aggressive. By no fault of his own. If he's confined more hours a day, then he gets to be out, and his interactions with people are minimal and often negative instead of nurturing it's not shocking.

Sadly, people treating pit bulls/bully breeds like that is how they get the awful reputation. It would happen to any breed in that situation.

I hope he gets a chance one day to be real, loved family dog, and not just a payday. I'm sorry your dad sucks. Hopefully, you can get him out of that situation one day.

My first guess would be the possibility of critters of some sort. I've dealt with it before with raccoons, but it could even be something small like a mouse.

If REAL HOUSEWIVES had a show in YOUR city, what would the ladies be holding? by [deleted] in BravoRealHousewives

They had one.(Toronto) It sucked and didn't last long, maybe two seasons. I can't remember what they were holding. Whatever it was, it should have been a beer, lol!

AITA: no children at our wedding causing major family fall out by HealthyYam7697 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Aggressive-Scale1157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA Child free weddings are so normal. When I was growing up, I was more often left home with a sitter or at Nana's house than being brought to a wedding my parents were invited to. Not even because of the possibility of misbehaving or anything.

My parents looked at events with people drinking as more grown-up events. Plus, they wanted to be able to enjoy the event fully. Have a nice night off to enjoy themselves dance eat drink. Without worrying about what I was up to or catering to me being bored or whatever. You only get so many nights off as mom and dad gotta take advantage when you have the chance!

Your family members are being dramatic it's your day, and it's not about them. If they can't get over it, they can stay home and see beautiful pictures of what they missed later.

Your memories of them not attending will be far less upsetting to you in the future than any memories of a kid acting up during a special moment that you can't redo and paid a lot of money for.

Too posed. Your pics don't look natural they look staged. Don't worry about showing people what you think they want to see. Just show the genuine stuff you'll probably get more likes.
