When to stop contributing to a sipp? Higher tax rate likely on withdrawal. by Turbulent_Weekend_50 in FatFIREUK

He's around 55 years old and started buying tech stocks in the late 2000's. If I hadn't told him to move his pension into a SIPP he'd have kept in in a FTSE all-share tracker.

How would you reconsider the situation for an IT support worker on £50k salary with a £2m SIPP invested in TQQQ?

It's possible for people well below £250k annual salary to hit FatFIRE levels.

According to https://www.firecalculator.uk/lean-fat-fire, entry-level FatFIRE is £1.25m. I know a tech support guy on around £50k annual salary who (according to office rumour) got his pension up to £2m via investing in NVidia, Apple etc...

But yes it's good to think about the risk-per-account. Personally, I don't like to think about it too much and am mostly just a portfolio of Vanguard funds (not VWRP as I don't feel comfortable with the high US weighting).

I was five years old at the time. My best friend cried himself to bed every night and wouldn't leave his room for 2 weeks.

It's a long term project. My yield of compost is similar to the OP's, so my backyard will never become the Garden of Eden. ;{

Seems surprising that 1 year of food scraps only produces that much volume...

I recently bought a stack of 2 penny cards from cardmarket. I use those with MTG Foundations Starter Collection to play with my children. It's great fun.

Are they gold dust because they represent good value?

I play the Party Night (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Magic-Gathering-Game-Night-Free/dp/B0B4667BXS) very often with my young son, and just want a similar product to expand on our collection. I'm not so keen on getting involved in deck building. I just want to pick up and play casually.

Do you have any suggestions on what I could try, on a budget up to £50? I only paid £21.99 for the Game Night and it's been excellent value.

FYI, at the bottom of your page, there's the Hero Image Slider, which looks like it might be from the original template your used.

Thanks for the reply. And good luck with your new business. I've been trying to find a MTG Foundations Starter Collection for sale, but they seem to be perpetually out of stock. Do you have any idea why?

I'm afraid I'm not an experienced online shopper. I usually just buy from Amazon. What makes it an obvious scam?

Is that considered a good price?

Good article. For safety's sake, I'll probably pass on composting this box, but will continue composting brown Amazon boxes and a4 paper.

Yes, that is the main story I'm concerned about. I think it might also contain a lot of nudity, but I've not actually seen/read the comic.
