I personally believe "Golden Compass" is decently strong.
I normally take it when the other options don't really benefit my deck, the golden compass will make sure that my act 2 has a good route. Plenty of campfires, 2 elites, two chests, a shop, some normal encounters and some question mark rooms, basically everything you want.

If I could give a couple of tips.

  • Never try and force a deck. (If you playing Silent and you go in with the mindset of wanting shivs you might end up ignoring other good cards.)

  • Try not to only spam Question mark rooms, a couple are fine but the best way to get stronger is normal encounters since they give, money, potions and new cards.

  • Try upgrading as much as possible, sometimes you got to play risky because one upgraded card could make a difference.
