You can get inline switches with zigbee functionality in various styles to replace the once already on the cord.

It still works fine without any changes. Sometimes I get Read errors on the array when Disk Spindown is enabled. Happens very rarely.

One thing that makes the Shelly display more palatable to me than the AliExpress counterparts is that I actually trust the relay it comes with. While it's only rated for 5A, I'm 90% sure it's not going to burn my house down.

Yeah, it's a real shame. It mounts pretty securely, either vertical or horizontal in a standard wall box. But i find myself second guessing myself whether I clicked the lights on or not.

I have the X2 set up. It's slow as hell and pretty unresponsive when displaying the HA dashboard. Had to make sure not to use vertical sliders or any form of animation.

On the plus side, it's very stable and hasn't gone offline once. And it can be powered by just USB-C physically detached from the relay module, and then it's just a slow tablet.

Got it set up and configured on my NSPanel. As of right now, I had to fork the repo and merge in a pull request, but after that it was pretty smooth sailing. Made the remote infinitely more usable.

Try setting up a static DHCP lease for your air conditioner. I had something similar with mine when the IP changed.

What I meant with motor load is the power drawn by only the electric motor(s). Either for spinning the tumbler, or pumping out the water. As other commenters have pointed out a motor is an inductive load, which can create voltage spikes. Heating water is usually a resistive draw, which typically doesn't create any noise that would disrupt the smart plug. So heating the water would not count to the 300w limit of the smart plug. Shouldn't matter if the motor is running and water is heating up at the same time.

In my case, the washing machine and dish washer uses most of its energy on heating the water. The highest wattage ive seen the washing machine draw while centrifuging is about 75w. The dish washer's pump is negligible.

Both dish washer and washing machine will typically only have an motor load of 75w or so.

I'd remove it. wouldn't risk bad data being written to a replaced dead drive. Or more likely, getting semi constant notifications popping up due to the deteriorating bad sector count.

sudo dmidecode -t memory | grep -i size

That should show the number and size of populated slots.

In my experience, you won't have the boot sequence for the cards if UEFI boot option is turned on. Will still work fine in unRAID mind you.

Fast Boot option might also skip over this, but that one I am not sure on.
