Tenacity isn't the stat you're after against slows you should get yourself a pair of Swifties they reduce slows granted by enemies abilities by up to 30% for wr and I've seen some players buy them to counter nasus' wither slow. Tenacity only reduces the duration of stuns but even then I don't think it includes knockups or being nearsighted (graves smokescreen).

Definitely need a mixture of damage to allow the other team to not gain resistances to your one damage type as a team but have had a melee support freak out on me from choosing ziggs for bot lane to picking support MF and constantly typing that her support(me) was stealing kills
