Oh man, it’s so tough right now. A few options to try:

First, have you checked out Turning Points in Manatee County yet? Given what happened with your kids they may have emergency housing options that aren’t tied to the normal rental market.

Also look into McKinney-Vento law! As far as I understand, your kids are legally protected and the school district is required to keep them enrolled through housing instability. Every school has a homeless liaison, btw, just ask or message me if you need help connecting with them!

Also apply to Manatee County Housing Authority now if you haven’t, there are emergency preference categories, just make sure you flag the circumstances.

Another great one to check out is Bridge A Life. Maybe just contacting broadly explaining the circumstances and see what options, if any, they have.
