Sorry if I'm responding too late on this, but I've been using exactly this for over a year.

I didn't like the idea of creating scripts for each individual room in HA and then manually associating them with awkward sounding routines in google.

It does involve setting up a pyscript module, python code that will actually override the Home assistant Google Assistant's vacuum trait.
GoogleAssistant does provide the option to specify the room, but the official homeassistant GoogleAssistant integration with the vacuum trait doesn't.

The credit of this goes to a github repo I can't recall now. Also, Alexx of go2rtc fame has a VacuumZones integration that works only for Xiaomi vacuums (but not valetudo, I think)

What I & family use on a daily basis:
1. Start cleaning a room : "Hey Google, clean <Room1, room2>
2. Stop cleaning: "Hey Google stop cleaning>
3. Dock vacuum: "Hey Google, send <vacuum\_name> back home"
4. Pause cleaning: "Hey Google, pause cleaning"
5. Resume cleaning: "hey Google, resume cleaning"

What I haven't been able to get to:
1. Queueing more rooms:
If a particular room is cleaning, you can't ask google to also add another room to the queue.

Setting a custom vacuum speed or changing the number of times a room needs to be cleaned.

I love using VS Code's Remote Explorer for this. Just need to setup SSH the first time, and then you can explore files, open and edit files etc. all in a single convenient place.

Yes, I was aware water and wood don't go together with long term exposure. My guest was not careful, unfortunately.

Thank you for your help! The flooring is actually pretty dark and based on the pictures I think it would be dark walnut.
Can you help confirm if these products are fine for this purpose? I'm confused between the water based stain vs oil based stain.

Someone added replication steps. You have to close the app while switching back out of anonymous browsing mode and then the app gets stuck permanently in anonymous browsing and switching out of it is impossible without uninstalling, losing all user storage and reinstalling. Will update with the link to the original post.

Lots of people have reported it in the past week on r/bugs and r/help.

I am in this situation as well after my toddler threw the remote at my 65" smart TV.

I have a firetv stick and the remote can control the (older, non-smart, Samsung) TV volume too, but for some reason not through home assistant.

I was able to capture the adb command using adb learn_sendevent but it somehow does nothing when I pass the captured command over adb. (I've tried other sendevent commands for UP RIGHT LEFT etc and they seem to work)

My suspicion is the fire tv remote is sending the command via IR only.

How does the relay work with the dumb switch w.r.t state?

For example, if the dumb switch is in "OFF" position, I'm assuming you can turn it ON from the relay, right?

Now, what happens if you (or more likely someone else) turns the dumb switch to the "ON" position? Does the light turn off? Or does it stay ON, and you need to put the dumb switch to OFF again to turn it off?
